Got a question for you guys. I see all these pics around of stangs pulling wheels like feet off the ground. While I love a good wheelstand myself, would it not make more sense to set your car up to pull the wheel only like an inch. I would think that pulling the wheels that far off the ground would waste energy that could be put into getting out of the hole quicker?

Just a thought!

you are correct, however, the mustang is a pretty short chassis, so it is more wheelstand prone than alot of vehicles,

basically, i would assume, if people are hooking, then that is good enough for them unless they are in some cutthroat class.

Yo u are correct sir, when I had my 87 GT , it made almost 400 to the ground on motor with a small dose of juice (275 hp,big shot)it tried to get crazy but I adjusted the wheelie out of it cause ,yes they look cool, but everyone I raced that pulled a big wheelie always came down behind me,that was cooler!

I guess its just cool to watch guys pull wheeiles but when they are driving they really don't want to. My car is setup where it shouldn't pull the wheels at all, unless I throw a shit load of power at it which I dont have he money to do. So I guess mine will stay on the ground.

It's like the "my car can chirp the tires when I shift from 2nd-3rd gear...." why would you want your car to "chirp" the tires? That noise is made by your tires stalling/stopping and causing friction with the pavement which in turn can slow you down. Chirping tires is for Hondas.
