well as some of you know, i got my rear end finished friday and i drove almost 300 miles to break it in (including the drive to the denton 1/8 mile track).

lee early, a guy that i work with invited me to go to the track with him so i did, and i had a blast all day (kinda cold though). i droped my 1/8 mile et's 2 tenths with the new rear end set-up (richmond 4.10's, 31 spline track-loc, and moser 31 spline axles) still on the now really bald goodyear street tires that i was running at thunder valley. traction was terrible though, on every pass no matter how i launched my car would roast the tires in 1st, 2nd, through part of 3rd, and bark in 4th gear. i still got a new best of 8.71 @ 82.25mph 1/8 mile even with all the traction problems!

well then we came back from the track and i ran around sherman tx. for a little while and a (supposedly modded) honda s2000 came up to me at the stop light(at the track) and was smiling and reving his motor and needless to say i wiped that silly smile off of his face when the light turned green (4-7 car lengths easy), he then said, "lets take it to the highway punk", (like he would do any better) so we went out on the highway(road track with no turns) and a bolt-on 2002 followed us. first we went from a dead stop and i embarrased the s2k again (worse than at the stop light), and then we went from a 30mph punch and i think it was even worse!
after i got over in front of him in his lane and was slowing down the 2002gt came flying around me and cut me off and pulled over to the side of the road so i pulled in behind him and asked him if he wanted to go, and he said hell yeah, so we raced 2 times and i embarrased him really bad, he must have smoked a lot of 96-98gt's because after i ate him up 2 times his girlfriend wouldn't do nothing but look at the floor board and he had a very puzzled look on his face.
then we went back to town and at the same stop light(at the track again)and a fart can equiped eclipse came up next to me and told me that i had the best sounding mustang he has ever heard, i said thanks and then he wanted to race, so i did, but before i raced him he reached in his back floor board and then flipped a few switches on his dash and the light turned green and then had another really bad victory over the rice world! i was told later that night that the eclipse was the fastest ricer in town and had an upgraded turbo and nitrous and when he reached in the rear he was turning his bottle on, this goes to show you that you should eat rice not drive it. haha!!!

needless to say i had a very eventfull day, score 3 more up for the home team!

BTW, all of the races were held in a closed course environment and not on U.S. highways.

Didn't get to see any of your runs, but it was good talking to you. Glad you got some good times!

no that was n/a on really bald goodyear street tires and spinning like a mad man.
ask coley and lee early about it i think they watched a few passes of mine. it would spin through 1st, 2nd, part of 3rd and then hook up, and bark in 4th gear about 20 feet before the finish cone.

i just got my m/t et drags in the mail and will be mounting them to my 15x8 draglites tommorow and i will be heading out to thunder valley race park in noble ok this weekend to see if i can pull some 12's N/A.
as soon as i get my subframe connectors, torque boxes, and axle tubes welded up i am going to try some 6100rpm nitrous launches and see how deep in the 11's i can get, and yes i have all of the nitrous accessories including a window switch so i should be safe as far as the motor goes but i dont know about the tranny...
