all the gauges in a srt-4 are autometer pro comp ultra lite gauges. the boost even says that. its a mechanical (never seen a elec. boost gauge) and you can get a pic online :cool: i'm posting the only one i have that i could find in a short time.

I've met some of you, came to a couple of meets, and I've probably ran a few of you up at Denton too. With ONLY exhaust and a custom made boost controller(less than $500 total in mods) my best 1/4 mile to date is a 13.6 @ 104 mph on street tires and a best of an 8.80 @ 83.5 mph in Denton. Currently, I'm busy installing some new goodies that should give a nice increase in power. In a couple of weeks I'll be ready to go back out to Denton and see what I can get her to do. You guys are more than welcome to tag along and see what a local, lightly modded SRT-4 can do!

Your sig is not even there on that post that I quoted thank you very much. I'll admit, when I go back and re-read that post again that it now does sound like you are making 400 hp with an NA motor and when you add 7 psi to it, it'll be pushing even more(it better be otherwise you just wasted your money!) IF you don't count the cost of the car then I doubt I'll have more in my car than you! Well, I take that back. I probably will have more money in my car. But that's because I do more than drag race. I said supercharger for a couple of differant reasons. Turbos on V-8s are just now becoming popular. Not that they have never been done before, but they are just now getting popular. Superchargers are much more common in the aftermarket on V motors, especially when you are tlaking about running only 7 psi of boost which is relatively low boost.

For you information, many 4.6's are Windsor's. All of the 99-00 Mustang GT's and many of the mod motor trucks use Windsor motors. Do you even know what Windsor means??? I'm guessing not since you just made that last post. And last time I checked when was a motor that can make 700-1000 hp all day long, wrap 9K RPM's and still get you back and forth to work a P.O.S??? As for the use of stock internals, my motor's almost stock. I've still got the stock crank, rods, and block so does that put me in the same category as you?? If it does you damn well better bring more to the table than 13 second 1/4, otherwise you better bring a rag to wipe the piss out of your eye if we ever do get the chance to race (which is doubtfull considering I only come to Central Texas once or twice a year ).

I wouldn't doubt that a stock SRT-4 crank could support that much power, if they are anything like the old DSM cranks. But I will promise you that the stock pistons and rods say 'fuck you I quit" long before you reach a good hp mark. I don't give a damn if your fucking the engine builder in the ass while he puts the main caps back on, it doesn't mean that you know what you are talking about. I've been around my fair share of DSM and Dodge motors. I know their strenghts and weakness and what they are capable of and I will promise you this, there is NO replacement for displacement. With more displacement comes the opportunity for more power. Take a turbo charged 4 cylinder engine and dyno it, now take that same turbo system and add 4 more cylinders. MORE POWER, simple as that. That's what you're forgetting when you get pissed because I tell you that , regardless of anything it's still a neon. It still has half the displacment of even a stock 4.6, not to mention a heavily built one. I shouldn't even have to do the math on a 5.0 for you. I would love to be there to laugh my ass off when some nasty boosted 4.6 pulls up and owns your ass. But I suppose now that you'll start making the typical ricer excuses.

For you information, many 4.6's are Windsor's. All of the 99-00 Mustang GT's and many of the mod motor trucks use Windsor motors. Do you even know what Windsor means??? I'm guessing not since you just made that last post. And last time I checked when was a motor that can make 700-1000 hp all day long, wrap 9K RPM's and still get you back and forth to work a P.O.S??? As for the use of stock internals, my motor's almost stock. I've still got the stock crank, rods, and block so does that put me in the same category as you?? If it does you damn well better bring more to the table than 13 second 1/4, otherwise you better bring a rag to wipe the piss out of your eye if we ever do get the chance to race (which is doubtfull considering I only come to Central Texas once or twice a year ).

I wouldn't doubt that a stock SRT-4 crank could support that much power, if they are anything like the old DSM cranks. But I will promise you that the stock pistons and rods say 'fuck you I quit" long before you reach a good hp mark. I don't give a damn if your fucking the engine builder in the ass while he puts the main caps back on, it doesn't mean that you know what you are talking about. I've been around my fair share of DSM and Dodge motors. I know their strenghts and weakness and what they are capable of and I will promise you this, there is NO replacement for displacement. With more displacement comes the opportunity for more power. Take a turbo charged 4 cylinder engine and dyno it, now take that same turbo system and add 4 more cylinders. MORE POWER, simple as that. That's what you're forgetting when you get pissed because I tell you that , regardless of anything it's still a neon. It still has half the displacment of even a stock 4.6, not to mention a heavily built one. I shouldn't even have to do the math on a 5.0 for you. I would love to be there to laugh my ass off when some nasty boosted 4.6 pulls up and owns your ass. But I suppose now that you'll start making the typical ricer excuses.

Oh and a friend of mine who owns an SRT-4 as well, has a daily driven Grand National Full weight stock block 3610 lbs. with driver. full interior, cold ac, t-tops all accesories. 9.96@134

Let's break down the level of communication to the point where people that go to drive through liquor stores can understand. When ANYONE ELSE talks about Mustangs, and says WINDSOR they are referring to the 351w. That's the ONLY one worth mentioning. It's the only one that was manufactured as long as it was. Just because your 4.6 was made at the same plant as the 351 doesn't make it a "WINDSOR" you want to try again?

So, let me get this straight...

wild91stang has the fast one. It probably runs mid 12s if he'd ever take it to the track. So, he won't talk smack to Mustangs on the local board where he'd get smoked, he invites people from DFW to come and race him in Houston knowing that no one cares about his 12 second monster. :eek:

svodave is wild91stang's wingman because his SRT4 is slow. It probably runs 14s, but he feels that as long as he stays close to wild91stang's jock, he'll be a'ight.

DT2 is the mouthy girl that won't back anything up. She'll keep talking smack about how fast her car is but will find every excuse in the book to avoid lining up. I'd be surprised if she's even raced at the track in her SRT4. She's probably the typical attention whore that gets passed around by several of the guys in the car crew. They'll tolerate her as long as she's putting out, but eventually everyone gets tired of her attitude. I'm sure her reply will be a slew of insults that she memorized off the "You Got Served" movie. :rolleyes:

Vooduguru won't divulge mods and has never been to the track. But he thinks that as long as he friend or family with a fast car that we should for some reason respect him.

rustangPOS won't even answer my question about mods or ETs. So, it's probably slow too. He talks about how he's going to be fast, but it'll never come together because he doesn't know what he's doing.

So, in conclusion. I'm not sure what your purpose is here. If you want to talk smack, atleast stand up for yourselves, back it up, and race. We aren't scared of losing.

Only one of you might run 12s and you're acting like you own the world. You're not going to do a very good job of remove any blinders on this site with those numbers.

Dude, you're a moron. If a N/A V8 motor can make X hp with X number of cubic inches, A turbocharged 4 cyl can make the same horsepower with less cubic inches, and more boost. Hence, the mulletman term of no replacement for displacement in and of itself doesn't hold water. Now that turbo technology has really made a foothold after the 2nd attempt in the public car market, it will be fascinating to see what kind of power big block turcharged V8s will do. Look back in my posts, I NEVER once stated that 4cylinders made more power than V8s. I did state that in MY opinion that the 4.6 will never enjoy the longjevity the 351w. I will reiterate my statement that just because your precious 4.6 is built in Ontario, doesn't make it a true windsor. The true windsor was proven on the track years ago.

My offer still stands for ANYONE on this board. Come to a road course(there's a nice event coming up in early May at Hallet) in your car that you drove to the event and get your ass handed to you by a Neon!!

For those people that are thinking that I'm backing down from a drag race, think again. I'll do that too! But there's a better chance that you'll win a drag race as rear wheel drive cars tend to launch better than front wheel drive cars. It takes TRUE skill to drive your car hard in the twisties and run consistant times. I'm not saying hardcore drag racers have no skill, I'm just saying that for the majority of people on this board, they have no REAL driving skills!! :D

And yeah, my Bullitt runs low 13's with exhaust and gears, but unlike your car it doesn't squeak, rattle, shimmy and shake all the way down the track. Besides, anyone around here will tell you -that's the WIFE'S CAR! The fast stuff stays in the garage. I suppose you think you're some mechanical genius by flippin' through Jegs and buying any part from any page. It's all SB Chevy. Then stickin' it on your "flexible flyer" killing Honda's all day long. Since you never run a 1/4 mi track where you might actually exceed 100mph, you shouldn't talk shit at all.
