I was looking at some food at the grocery store this weekend and I noticed that they list the quantity and Daily Percentage for everything but sugar.....why is that? How much sugar is too much? Any??? For example, yogurt.....I got some that is fat free, but it has like 30g of sugar. Good or bad????

Sugar is not a necessary nutrient for health and bodily function. Your body prefers more complex carbs such as rice, oatmeal, vegetables, etc. and although moderate amounts of sugar aren't harmful perse, large doses can send someone into adult onset diabetes if consumed in large quanities, as it wreaks havoc on insulin production and in the least it can be converted directly into body fact and bring your metabolism to a screeching halt. Not good for anyone trying to lose weight or maintain a lean physique. I'd imagine that it being labeled like that is for people who want to keep their sugar intake under tight wraps such as diabetics and dieters.

buy the jello in a box, where you just add water, boil, and chill.

It's 10 times cheaper lazy ass...

Sugar is fine in moderation, and yogurt has more healthy benefits than Jello does.

but sugar free jello is a nice way to get that sweet tooth under control without adding a lot of sugar in your diet

but he was talking about "Fat free" yogurt. Which honestly has more sugar in it than regular yogurt.

Most fat free products are loaded with sugar, to compensate for the removed fat

That or they are loaded with salt. Whole foods are where it's at when health is of the utmost importance.
