I'll have to find a reference on the web to read, but some recent study said that by increasing your calcium, it decreases some hormone that causes us to store fat and increases the fat burning process.

Bought me a bunch of fat-free Yoplait today to munch on as snacks.

I drink about a gallon of milk a day, at least I cut down to 1% instead of whole milk.

Still tastes watered down though:(

I hear ya'. I'm skim milk only.

If this study proves to be correct, skim milk is actually a better choice. Calcium bonds to the water content of milk, not the fat content. Thus by skimming out the fat, the relative amount of calcium per serving increase!

I don't care, you people are crazy for liking something with the texture of water, but the taste of milk:mad: .

Go buy some powdered milk or something if you want that crap:p . J/K, does powdered milk even have the same content as normal milk?

My b/f drinks about a gallon every 2 days. He use to drink whole milk, I got him to start drinking 2% and I just bought a gallon of 1% and I like it. Hopefully he'll go down to 1% with me.

2% is about 35% fat in terms of calories.

1% is about 18% fat in terms of calories.

it's ok, down here in Austin I don't drink any milk because it's too damn expensive. I just drink 1-1 1/2 gallons of water everyday, with a little cranberry juice thrown in there and 1-2 gatorades:D

My family and I are big milk drinkers. I have agreed to 1% but not skim. I can't eat a bowl of cereal when you can see the cereal through the milk. Might as well pour water over it.

Whole milk is like paste to me.

I started with 2%, then 1/2 2% and 1/2 1%, then 1%, then 1/2 1% and 1/2 skim, then all skim.

I can't even drink 1% anymore.

i can't see how any of you drink milk.

The human body was not made to injest the breast milk of cows.

Actually no animal was meant to continue to consume it's mother's milk after it was weened on to solid foods. This is why 80% of humans are in some way lactose intolerant.

I'm down to 1%. I cannot stand whole milk anymore, might as well be a shake.

btw - check out the carb content on that yogurt, 01WC...

Roscoe, I have no problems with carbs. :D

That is for those silly Atkins and South Beach boys and girls.

6 meals a day, with carbs and protein with a little fat. Carbs and protein at every meal with a gallon of water during the day. 1.5 grams of protein per kg body weight, 10-15% fat, the rest carbs.

I took some picks this time, I'll take the afters in about 12 weeks. I'll post both of them up. I got really disgusting over the past 2 months of not working out.

I'll also post a pick with them about the time of my last marathon, in January 2003 at 160 lbs. Now that was my AIDS picture. Lightest I've been since I was probably 14.

I'm at the highest weight I have ever been, and I don't like it. I need to excercise. A desk job for the past 6 years is killing my manish figure....

I used to drink about 1 1/2 gallons a day, but that was getting a little overboard and I've gone to basically water now, maybe 1/2 gallon 1% milk a day now and 1-1 1/2 gallons water per day:D
