Next thing I need to do is get an amp for my door speakers. Does it need to have a crossover ? I can tell that the speakers are trying to play too much bass. I have Boston FX8's in all 4 corners. What would be a good amp to push these with?
Blake
Yes, it needs a crossover. A 25x2 up to 80x2 RMS amp will run all the speakers but you won't have a fader (Fade schmade). PPI 2100 25x2 $149, PPI 250 50x2 $239, PPI 280 80x2 $329.

Stay away from new PPI, I had a 4400 in 3 times before they sent me a new one. I immediately sold it and got a PPI Art series. Great amp and trouble free.

Or hey i got an idea do you think my bros amp would work?

New PPI works fine and has way more controls than older products. Sometimes shit happens.

I believe one of the best amps ever made.
I Ran two a600.2 for ever on 3 10w6s and some Boston Accoutics.
I think all of the older stuff was much better. Especially the Rockford stuff. I would not run the new Rockford stuff if it was given too me, but the old stuff was awesome.
