bad day at dyno

i went to the dyno with my new transmission( a "bad ass" C4), and other motor mods, made a 1st pull to 4200 and made 410 rwhp. it was lean so i richened it up and went to 5400 rpm where it made 565 rwhp and 520 tq, but it was still lean. for the next pull, we richened up again and went to 4100 and BAM, my tranny broke.. i broke a brand new full comp c4 with 1.5 road miles and 2.5 dyno runs. i will give them a chance to fix it before i go bashing the builders(and yes, you have heard of them), but so far decent power

don't mess with a c-4, go powerglide!! It'll make more power and last longer!!:)

That sucks about the tranny, I hope the builders do you right. How much hp did they say the tranny was good for?

i had a powerglide in before, and that wasnt a good combo. my car weighs 3400 lbs and have 3.5 gears. the motor is a keith craft 408 , afr heads, and a little bit of boost. i am looking to run mid 9's when i am finished tuning, and get the f%$#*ng transmission fixed

the builder said they will take care of whatever happened. it seems like i broke the input shaft. the tranny is supposed to be good for about 900hp/850tq. i will know more tomorrow when it is out of the car.

get the weight down and put a glide back init .youll have nothing but trouble out of a c-4..theyll hold but the ? is how long

i dont know about that, my dad runs my old street car, it weighs 3300lbs with a 351w and an old procharger p600b, runs 10.80s all day long, and has been rebuilt once in 11 years. if my new one will last half that long, i will be very satisfied.
