well there was nothing to do tonight, so i cleaned my car and was driving around.
found an lt1 camaro that wanted to play and we ran from 35-40ish to 80.
i was in 3rd and we were dead even, no one was pulling anyone.
anyhow i told him what i had and all he said was exhaust.. guess he lied or i just realized how slow my car is :(
'92 style t5 transmission, hurst short shifter, k&n cold air, hedman unequals, o/r h-pipe, 2 chamber flowmasters to tailpipes, eibach progessive drag launch kit, steeda subframe connecters, FMS 4.30 gears, timing advanced to 14, !smog equipment, !sway bars, !rear seats

I hope the LT1 wasnt stock or thats pretty sad.You should have drug him hard.LT1 hater

LOL.. Cold air and full exhaust?? Shouldn't be all that much faster than a lightly modded LT1. LT1's w/ cold air and exhaust are high 12 second cars ;) .

Well I know your LT1 is fast but exaust and cold air 12's for LT1's.Ive never seen that.Maybe high to mid 13's with that done but no 12's by anymeans.That what ive seen and raced.

LOL.. Jordon and I both ran 12's w/ headers, cat back and cold air intakes. It can be done.
W/ just a cut out and cold air I ran a 13.0 w/ a nice negative DA a long ass time ago. And that was even w/ a shitty 2.0 60'. Stock clutch and 3.42 gears.
It's possible the people you've raced couldn't drive, or their cars ran like crap.... or both

One real slow LT1
Specs:
88 Mazda RX-7 turbo II body, scoop, discs x4, stock IRS and 4.10 gearing.
95 LT1 from 9C1 police package caprice
Hypertech power programmer III
460le with minor mods(safe Manual shift capability, a few pressure relief holes drilled, corvete servos and blue clutches)
power stat from hypertech
hedman hedders
hiflow cats with a crossover instead of H-pipe(No mufflers for now)
LT4 intake
B&M quickshifter
toggle switch for neutral/park indicator(Track use only as it disables the EGR/Gas pipe setup)
Painless wiring harness
Gell cell battery monted under rear hatch for weight distribution.
Will run 2 batts and no serp belt on the track.
2813lbs weighed in on a set of feed mill scales in west texas(certified)
stock cam but i did use roller rockers(1.6 stamped steel)

his car was quiet until he got on it.. so i'm guessing a cut out? he had stock tips.
i wanted to run him from a slow roll because that's the only place i could probably pull him.. 4.30s

Thats kind of what i was thinking. I dont see many power mods on that fox, and you took on a car with likely 300 at the crank from a roll. I think its outstanding you kept up with him.
