i was in the other room installing 2003 enterprise on a new hard drive. i think im going to install mandrake on my laptop. with vmware running xp. hope i can find drivers for my MICROSOFT wireless card :(

Why the fuck do you people run windows inside of linux??! There is no use to load up another os inside an os, use one or the other :rolleyes:

If you MUST use those crappy office programs, get the Crossover plugin. GOD.

I have a few programs that I use that are not ported to linux, and they will not work with wine, unless there are some other dos/windows emulators that I haven't found.

you could do it citrix style. you'd actually be running the ms application from the citrix server but you can push the app to your linux box by running an ica client on the linux box. of course this is assuming you're familiar with citrix and have two boxes and have no other option.
