Internet Explorer Active Window Issue With Windows XP? [Archive]

I did something with my Internet Explorer settings to where if I open an email in Outlook Express and then click on a link, it will start opening the link in IE but it will not pull the IE window forward. In other words...I used to be able to click on a link in an email and the the link would start pulling up in a current IE window and would pop up in front of the email that had the link in it. Now when I click on the link, the email stays up and I have to click on the IE icon to pull up IE which is in process of opening up the website that the link pointed me to.

What setting in IE do I need to change to get links in emails when clicked on to pop up as the active window???

try this... in IE go to tools/options | Advanced tab. at the bottom click on restore defaults. See if that works for ya.
