Well, after attempting to install photoshop cs, installing Vice City, installing Halo, and installing C&C Generals only to find out that my machine is not up to standards. I'm throwing in the towel. Its lasted a few years and is still goin strong,my little 600 celeron just cant do it like it use to.:(

Not sure on upgrading or starting from scratch with a new board and some ddr ram. Budget minded what would you do, only for audio and occasional high end game play??

I'd buy a new mobo with an AthlonXP processor 512MB DDR RAM and a decent vid card ( ATI Radeon or NVIDIA GeForce 4 128MB ).

Might also be a good time to upgrade to a larger hard drive and Windows XP Pro if you haven't already.

If want to look up some prices, IMO this is the best site: www.pricewatch.com

For $800, I got an Asus A7N8x Deluxe mobo, 1024 DDR ram, 120 gig hard drive, an Athlon XP2500+, win xp pro, a cd burner, a nVidia TI4200, and some other useless shit. I thought I did pretty good, and it runs great

My bad, I should have been more clear. It's not for sale, I just built it. I was just telling you what all I got for $800. I think it is a damn good machine for the price. The DDR RAM came from a friend. The only thing I don't like about it, is that it is PC2100, and I need PC2700. It still runs fine, but it could be faster if the RAM had the same FSB as my processor

I just bought a Abit KV7 for $75 and a XP 2800 Barton for $135. Now I just gotta get my gig of RAM, and I'll be set. Too bad it's almost $200 for RAM.
