i went to get gas at a store across the street from my work at lunch today, and when i was putting gas in the fuel cell the fuel nozzle touched the master disconnect switch and in flames she went. as i tried to stomp them out with my foot, then trying to smother them with plastic sacks, my compadre told me to put the lid back on. the flames went out and back to fueling i went, then off to taco bueno for lunch.
thought she was going to blow like in the movies!!!!!!!!!

run you a ground strap from your cell around the filler hole to the chassis.

the nozzle was on the battery cutoff and as soon as the other end hit the cell the flames started. i put some tape and made a cover for the back side of the cutoff.

Wow, glad you and your car are ok!

Reminds me of when i filled my go-kart up with to much gas. The gas splashed up out of the little gas cap hole and the exhaust pipe started a fire. I didnt know tell the back of my shirt was on fire!! lol
