I was just wondering if these cars are quick on the hwy raced one a few weeks ago and didn't even down shift and pulled him pretty hard. I could hear his blow off valve pretty loud had a carbon fiber hood and exhaust. It was white he wouldn't even look over at me after the run. lol Guess he thought he was picking on a v-6 stang. This was on 360 around six flags a few weeks ago.

i would much rather have a wagon WRX instead of a sedan, i bet you would find em in better, non ragged out and stock condition when used.

i got my ass handed to me a few times by a BPU+ WRX out at sweetheart before the laws came to be. I asked him to run me from a 20 roll where i would hook, but he declined, and proceeded to walk me by about a car and a half untill my 3rd gear, where he shut down. Those things are all about the 60', when you get 'em up in moving speeds they just can't hang.

I ran one in the TA. He initiated the race, but I pulled him pretty good.

I was just wondering if the wagons'performance was much different than the sedans. I know from what I have read that the wrx platform is a solid one. If I still had my 01 gt I would have probably been toast. From a dig it would have been alot closer race.:)

wagons weigh less than 100lbs more than a sedan, i think.
i would rather have a wagon anyday.

80-100 lbs my wagon weighs 3400. We weighed it the day I dyno tuned it with some new parts.
I would run it down the highway but it is more suited to a dig.
AWD does hurt it after it is rolling in a straight line. about a 28-30% power loss through the AWD.
Mine on Pump gas and 17 psi put down 277 hp and 254 lbs tq on a mustang AWD dyno.

Sure it would be alot different race from a dig. Thought they would run better from a punch seeing that he had some mod's though. Nice #'s gotta love the boost.

hehe yes i do love that boost it is pretty cool.
I have some cams and shim under bucket conversion comming from Cobb Tuning.
Not big cams but they say worth about 30-50 hp with the head porting and Front IC and RS40 I have. we will see when I get them in. Dont want to go too over board would like to keep the mpg high. Aiming for 325-350 anywhere I can get lucky to land in that spectrum.

Thanks Phoenix. Got any pic's of your ride? Hmmm looks like I may have to mod the bitch to keep up or even at least. Over all I would have to say I'm pretty happy with it the way it is stock only mod so far is an accel kool blue air filter. Gotta love that 4th gear chirp never fails to put a smile on my face.:D

Yes always fun to get a chirp in the gears. Wish I could some times but AWD kind of restricts that especially with a 2.0 lol.

I have some somewhere of the work when we put the Front IC on it.
