I'm broke, don't have any time, and my motivation level is nonexistant. Unless things change, my DAM LS1 Coupe project will never get off the ground.

I haven't had a car in a year - and I'm not in too big a rush to get another. I'll wait until the good deal comes along, and it will be something that's not going to require too much work. I'm lazy.

I'm broke... the silver car is running great, but for the most part it just sits while I keep saving money for a truck... I drive it about 3 times a week to run a quick errand and blow off some steam, and I'm taking it to the GTG tonight.

As most of you know my rear u-joint took a crap @ denton on the starting line and bent the driveshaft in the process (also made a nifty hole in the floorboard :) )

I had planned to have a better driveshaft built anyway when I swapped my TH350 for the TH400 I have, and since the rear-end also needs to be re-done i'm going to do all of it at the same time.

TH400 is getting a different converter.

Rear-end is getting 3.73s, a spool, better axles, 3150 yoke, and some welding on the axle tubes.

I'm thinking about a driveshaft from www.dennysdriveshaft.com

Also need to have my cage welded in & seats & belts installed.

It's mainly a lack of time for me. Probably easily looking at feb-march of next year if not later :(

My junk runs.....slow.

Autox season is over.....

Not broke but wife is taking a couple weeks off before her new job........and she is shopping!!!!! At least she has a new car to do it in.

I need to install my wideband and do some more tuning to get the a/f better at other than WOT.

Don't have time for shit during the week and when I do, working on the car is not a priority.

Xmas is going to be pretty thin this year and it is time to revitalize project "NO DEBT".

Lastly, since I have no slicks anymore, I don't race at the dragstrip and I am saving for a few more mods on the car for next race season......Gotta give those vettes and ass whoopin'.

I'm thinking about becoming a cheerleader. It'll be cheaper, won't require much of my time, and won't take up my garage.

I might get an RC car or a dirt bike to fill the void.

I still don't have any oil pressure, I think I pushed out an oil galley plug under the intake or behind the timing chain. I have no motivation w/ this motor. I have a Dart block/ Chapman Victor head motor in the making and am thinking about going ahead and pulling this one and getting it ready for the "big" motor. I'm hoping to be in the 5.80s N/A this spring.

With the latest round of shit talking I would like to take it out one more time w/ present combo. If I can easily fix the oil prob does anybody want to come to redline on a Sunday afternoon and line em up?

1.) The oil was clean
2.) lifters and timing chain had 75k miles on them.
3.) the chain seemed pretty loose (worn out)
4.) The pistons have very light valve marks on the first and third piston on the driver's side bank. Have to be valvetrain related. What are the chances that two rods stretched at the same time? I feel that the timing chain was the culprit. And old heads. These are the same heads that I had when the block locked up last summer and bent a few valves. I just replaced the valves and didn't get the heads checked.

well it is possible to damage two rods at once.. Did you port the heads this time?
