the 03s only dyno 360ish stock. and alot of the 03 drivers dont wanna void theyre warranty so they keep em that way. its not that hard to belive that a decent modified ls1 would eat an 03 up in my opinion, if t was stock that is.

So what does a stock LS1 make rwhp? And how modified does it have to be to walk away so hard? It wasn't like he was barely pulling the Cobra...it was a complete ass dragging!

stock they only make about 315-320rwhp, if its an slp package about 325. i nice cam and head job would put it over 400 easy. or a simple longtube header and 150 shot of nitrous would be a cheaper way to go and still make over 400. theres plenty of other ways dont get me wrong but one of those two are what id do if i had an ls1. ones cheap, ones expensive but the first one is the shit!

i remember pdiddy taking his s2 + Lts + cutout + spray 01 z28 out to Dville one night to bust his first 03 cobra's ass. It was quite amusing, watching the mustang guy wince everytime he lost.

The Cobra guy was probably just scared of the noise from Pdiddy's spool.

The cobra had basic bolt ons, pulley, exhaust..put down 430rwhp. The ss was a heads/cam/bottle car, knocked down a hair over 600rwhp...so, neither car was near stock at all. The SS traps well into the 130's.

That vid is all over the net. Go to SVT Performance, and do a search for JuicedSS262 , it's also all over ls1 tech.


Want something even more impressive? The SS only had 2.73'sin it when it did pulled the cobra...he snapped an axle, and ended up just sticking a rear end out of a friends car under his to get it running again. He has a dual stage nitrous kit on it, but that was on one stage...I thikn in that trim, in the video, he dynoed like 568-ish? He's running the dual stage now, spraying a 300 shot.
