Coming down 635 heading west near Josey a bike rolls up beside me and I started kinda pacing him. There was a bit of traffic, but I knew it was going to open up just west of 35. I stuck near him and organized the lanes so that we both had a lane to ourselves with a 1/4 mile or so ahead.

As soon as we get past 35 I look over at him and goose it a little, but he doesn't bite. We are doing about 65 and I'm in 4th. I fall back about a car and goose it again, and pass him by a car. Still no bite. So finally I shoot a couple of cars in front then fall back. Right as we were dead even he goes for it. He twists the throttle and begins to move out on me, but alas, the mighty Hatch gobbles him up and puts a car on him, then 2.

I ran 4th gear all the way out and shut down- at some point after putting a couple of cars on him he gave up and shut down as well because he had dropped back significantly.

I don't know what kind of bike it was, but he was at least as fast as the Honda 954 I raced a few weeks ago. It was red with a large brushed aluminum pipe on the right side.....

Anyway, the Hatch is kinda mean from a roll..... :D

Sounds good..... I'm thinking it's going to be January before I make it back to the track, though.

I better get to work cuz right now you got me covered.

sounds good, did you ever figure out the rear suspension? I knew you was fighting for traction.

Chris

Chris says we're not allowed to set up races like that !

119 in the 1/8 sounds pretty fast. I don't know what kind of MPH a Honda 954 traps in the 1/8 or 1/4... but I do know that you would just stay in it until you ran me down no matter what speed it took..

So - YOU WIN ! :)

You need to bring the hatch by the shop whenever you are in the arlington area. Nick wanted to take a look at your suspension setup and possibly get ride in the Turbo terror :)

So - YOU WIN ! :) My buddies STOCK 954 runs consistent 6.7-6.8 @ 109-110... I think his best pass is a 6.64 @ 111. !/4 mile was a 10.1 @ 136 I believe... Just to let you know, I doubt you out ran one, unless he was a moron and couldn't ride. I know your car is fast, but not THAT fast...;)

Well, I suspect that the 954 rider was somewhat experienced. After all, he did ride a wheelie right through the tollbooth, from 40 up to 90, then slowed down when I flashed my brights at him. He nodded for me to go ahead, and I did. The boost came up and I put a car on him right away. I kept pulling as he got into the throttle. I could clearly hear him shifting at least 1 gear, maybe 2.

He stayed pretty much locked in my passenger side view mirror until I ran out 4th gear, which is about 125 or so. If he would have stayed in it, he could have easily ran me down... but, from 60-125 he was mine.

After the race, he proceded to display more wheelie riding abilities at various speeds, even changing a lane while riding a wheelie. It could be that he was great at riding wheelies, but when it came to racing from a punch, he was clueless.

We both took the same exit, I wanted to race him from a 20-30 punch. We did, and he murdered me. At the stoplight he said to me "Hey man, you HAD me on the freeway!" And I said, "I figured you would get me from a slower roll...."

The race last nite went pretty much the same way, except I didn't get the move on him, we went from an even punch.....

Scouts Honor ! :)

Scouts Honor ! :) Well my friend has only had a bike for about 3 months of his entire life,,, but he is getting better all the time. ;) He is just good at racing anything it seems, his Vette almost beat me with 100 less RW.:(

Not that I don't believe you, I was just telling ya how fast that bike should be...;)

thats cool, over the winter I plan on changing up somethings. I'm just glad I ran what I wanted to with the mods it has. My main goal was getting into the 6's with the unported Cobra intake. I know there have been alot of people to do it, but I wanted to do it myself. Just playing with the timing and some race gas got me there. ;) Time for that to come off:D
