bill....how many times have we seen vipers and the like with all kinds of stupid mods running 9 sec 1/8th's and upper 13's in the 1/4.....hell I took out an 03 Cobra that put down 100 more hp to the ground than me by almost a half second......

I spanked a Viper with my GT in a stoplight to stoplight run , so no biggie. There was a guy there last night in a 03 Cobra dialed in SLIGHTLY less than what I was running last night......8.62 was my average last night if ya throw out my friggin miss shift! Slowly but surely.........At least I'm improving!
But if this was the same guy I saw last night, you wouldn't stand a chance.........even with your slicks.

no the 03 I ran pulled a 13.6 to my 13.1(was on drag radials with really bad track prep at ennis)....it's funny to watch those guys try to come off the line though......

Well that is ok. I ran 6.41 with a stock bottom end. I am changing pulleys so I should be at 6.20's. Lets take them to the track. You can run slicks and I will run drag radials and I will still spank your ass by 2 seconds. How about $500 Friday night at Denton or anywhere? Who is talking trash now?

I'm not pissed. I have no reason to be. I have no problem racing anyone. I'd race Andrew, Manny, Brian or any of the other guys on the fastest list if they asked. It's not about the absolute fastest car to me....if so I would have spent the 50 grand plus I have in this car building up my 91 5.0.

I'm glad for you that your car is faster than mine. If that is what you are looking for out of this hobby/sport.....that's wonderful. I'm glad you appear to get the same level of enjoyment out of this as I do.

As I said before, I'm not trying to have the fastest car on the track....and besides....no matter how fast you are there is always someone faster.

I just thought your approach in trying to find a race was tact deficient.

Talk is cheap dude. You wont find many big money races on this board but i think we might be able to round up a hundred or so with a race in our Family Wagon. When will you be at the track again. This weekend we are out of town in Baton Rouge street racing and will be back that Monday (11/10/03). Let me know and we will exchange numbers.
