The F&H is a good place, but I like the library equally. There are tons of people and fun to be had by all either way. Someone needs to set a date and time....then count me in! :D

Have you guys not been to Sherlock's yet? There is a reason they shut down the Saucer.
I know that may offend some, but it is a bigger crowd, better hole-to-pole ratio, and cheap ass drinks on Wednesday night, especially beer. And they have like four billion beers on tap.
I swear, you Saucer guys remind me of Trekkies. I bet you are!

About 10 of my friends and I have a gathering every Monday night at the Flying Saucer in downtown Ft. Worth. Its $2.50 pint night and a lot of the suit and tie crowd are out of there by 8 or so. If anyone wants to join us, feel free. We normally sit outside when it nice and in Half Acre hall upstairs when its cold or rainy.

That might not be a bad idea here soon. Not going to be this week for me becaue family is in town, but maybe we could get something started this coming month.

Well, I don't drink beer, but I'm pretty sure they have like a gazillion beers on tap and most are $1 for a BIG ass glass. Like I said, I don't drink the beer, so I may be mistaken.
Is the library truly $1 you-call-its? Or is it beer and wells?
$1 Bourbon and Coke is one thing, $1 Crown and Coke is another. And what about shots?
I wish I could get a good buzz off of 5 drinks.

Actually, several reasons.
1. The entire place seems 'prefabbed.' if you know what I mean. A huger bar, meant to rake in as many peoples cash at one time as possible.
2. The crowd. Most of the people in there seem like the types I struggled to avoid everyday at Martin High. I walk in there and I think I'm in high school all over again. Bunch of overdressed preppies that think everyone is impressed with their polo shirts.
They do have pretty damn good drink specials though. Who knows, maybe its just me, and it could be a great big tragedy. [shrug]

The bigger, more crowded bar thing, I guess I prefer. Especially when it isn't a big sword fight.
The crowd - I disagree with you 100%. Are you talking about a Wednesday night? Sure, there are people in there wearing nice clothes, but I would say the majority are dressed pretty casual, with some VERY casually dressed folks, too. A good mix. But what's wrong with looking nice, anyway? I would say people are less "overdressed" than a ton of other clubs.
Let's just say, for example ;) that you wanted to show up in jeans, an untucked black T-shirt, and Chuck Taylors, you'd have other weirdos, I mean people, dressed similar.

It's all about perception.
Try to see Sherlock's as the new and improved big brother to the honorable Saucer. Think of it as the Saucer retiring, bowing out gracefully, and handing the torch to Sherlock's. The legend will live on.
Don't look at it like Sherlock's punked Saucer and bitch slapped it into submission. Try not to feel like your Saucer was dominated by a far superior power that is Sherlock's. Now, who's the club?!?! Who's the club?!
LMAO!!!
No, Hell I've only been there once anyway. Sorry if I made you cry or anything.:(
