Took the hatch out tonite and I guess the air was pretty good. I haven't touched the boost knob in a month, but I saw 14 PSI for the first time.

I hit it from about a 40 punch in 3rd gear. The car pulled pretty good around 3200 RPMs, and traction held. But about the time I hit 60mph, the motor was really in the powerband and the tires broke loose for just a second, then grabbed again. It pulled really hard, harder then it ever has....

I did it again a couple more times. The ride from 60-90 takes about 1.5 seconds, and feels real satisfying.

The compressor map shows the turbo really starting to come alive around 14PSI, and the seat of the pants feel really confirms it.

The late evening runs tommorrow nite at the track should really be good.

I think the ride from 60-90 really took about 2.2 seconds. I might have been embellishing the story a little bit in my exuberation !

Everything would have to be perfect. I really don't know. If I can get 7.1x I'll be happy. I'll be nervous about my tranny, so I might granny shift to keep it alive. That'll hurt a little.

If I see 14 PSI tommorrow nite, surely it will speed up a tad.

I was only able to hit 15psi last night. I hate having to short shift!

Oh and street tires suck.

Adam, when are you going to get off your butt and take your car to the track?

I need to get back in the mix of things first. I don't have a job and don't have any tires so I'm just letting it ride for a while until I have a job so I can support the habit and any consequences thereof.

Understood. I have a job but the wife and kids spend all my money. :(

Yeah it's no fun at all but at least I still have the car and will be back soon enough I hope!
