Wed. Night GTG in Lewisville 10-15-03 [Archive]

Last week was an awesome turn out, lets try and have another one like it.

Also if you are new coming out to the gtg and not know anyone please just walk up and tell us who you are.

Here is where it is taken place:

Yes, it's another Weds. night get together. This time it's in Lewisville at Parma Pasta & Pizza. Every week from 7 p.m. - 10 p.m. (later if needed).

This is a family get together, no street racing, no bullshit. This gathering is for serious enthusiasts who want to meet other members and check out some nice rides. It is starting on probation. Parking lot speeding, peeling out, etc. is forbidden and will cause the G2G to be cancelled. Basically use your head and use peer pressure to stop it before it begins. The Lewisville police will be aware of the meet and the time/dates so have your ducks in a row or don't show.

Hope to meet some of you newbs and I know we'll see many long-time members out in full force.

It is right across the street from POPEYE's on 3040.

Once we are done eating there and all that good stuff we head over to Sonic for a gtg they hold over there.

They have really good food and awesome prices

Hope to see some of you there.

Directions
But yea if you are on 121 and keep heading west after you cross under 35 you will keep going straight and there will be a exit for Round Grove on your right. Take the exit and then a left at the light. Once you are on Round Grove look for Popeyes on your right, Parma Pizza will be directly across the street from it.

If you are on 35 exit Round Grove depending which direction you are coming from turn on Round Grove toward Vista Ridge Mall. It will be the opposite side of 35 from the Super Target. Stay on Round Grove and again look for Popeyes on your left and Parma Pizza will be on your right.

If you are coming from Plano and don't really know your way around you can get on Park and stay on that all the way to Lewisville. Park runs all the way into Flower Mound. While you are on Park it will turn into Hebron in Carrolton and then into Round Grove in Lewisville (3040) When you cross over 35 look for Popeyes on your left and again Parma Pizza will be directly across the road on your right.

If you can't find it by these directions just use Mapquest with the address:

Unfortunately no, unless its trailered. I've got some bad electric problems, there are no tail lights and something is draining the battery (most likely related problems). Hopefully I'll get it somewhat figured this weekend or win the lotto.

wel i might not be able to show up now. i was gonna bring my new ride, but its not quite running yet and i dobut i can get everything on by this evening. i have the harness to hook up, the accesories to put on, the exahust, new front strut and the interior to put back together. and i cant start on it till i get out of class at 2. anyone wanna help?:D

What I meant was, well I don't know what I meant. I guess if there are a lot of bikes, two could be hard to pick out of a crowd. We are usually not parked with the other bikes though. I will only be at Sonic also. I won't get out of the gym util 8:30 so the pizza joint is out. I would like to meet some of y'all tonight.

After all that shit talk, the two guys ended up not racing. They had it all planned out for 12am, $10,000. Denton track was going to open just for them, $500 entry a piece. After waiting for a few hours and many phone calls later, the guy in the white car backed out. (for those of you who may be wondering about that)

Oh, and I'm glad now that I showed up late! No pics of me!:cool:

Apparently when he left he was going to get the money. When he never showed back up his 'boys' said he was waiting on Kelly to call and show back up. Kelly's friend was the one who was going to race, and they called the guy to confirm everything....I'm not sure of the true reason why he backed out. Kelly said it was because the guy found out who he was really going to race, but that guy's 'boys' said he probably backed out because they were going to trailer the car to Denton, not drive it. The guy said if he was going to drive from Sonic, so should they. Either way, what a dumbass.

He showed up saying that the Owner of Speedworks, who supposedly drives a venom, had fucked his son over, and he was going to pull the wheels up and slam them down on the viper... and he even pulled out $2k cash to call him out. Viper guy was like "Dude, I don't work at or own speedworks so fuck off." Then a Ford guy stepped up saying he'd race him, The buick guy was like that your car? pointing at the Mach 1 in one of the pics, he's like yeah, one of em. He's like well pull it down and I'll race you from here to there (pointing about 1000 ft down the parking lot to sonic) Ford guy says make it 10k and we'll take it to the track right now... Buick guy wanted a street race right then, Ford guy wanted a race @ the track (obviously Ford guy had some brains or wasn't on drugs) Buick guy gets in car, talks shit, almost runs someone over when he punches the throttle while his son is climbing in the car... parks it, pops the hood, bullshits, then pussies out and leaves. Turns out the Ford guy owns a KOTH car that I guess runs low 5's (rumor) and was going to rape that buicks ass for 10grand...

I saw GC2 and some others but didn't really get introduced to anyone... hell I saw bout 20 stangs there but none had DFWStangs stickers on em

If you saw me, I was wearing khaki colored pants and a long sleeve blue shirt... 19 with blonde spikey hair... bout the best I can describe me

I just thought it was funny the guy pulls out 2k cash then the ford guy calls him out for 10... never woulda thought a Ford mechanic would have that kinda cash laying around...

Heck no I wasn't the neighbor girl!!! I was standing next to Kelly, the guy with the Mach 1, when the old man was talking trash. At other points I was bs'ing with Steph and Nicolle. O well.

By the way, the Buick found out that Tony Thorn was the one who was going to race. They were going to race his friend's Nova against the Buick. Still not sure of the exact reason why he backed down though.

What I don't understand is why the Ford Guy wouldn't race the stang... he's like "she don't have an engine" but I looked up under there and saw the freakin thing sitting there... now if she ain't running or something that's another story. Also, why the hell did he call some guy out, then not even race him with his own car... he had to call a buddy... everyone has a brother who knows a guy who's dad worked on a guys car who said his friend owns a top fuel dragster.... I have to go with the buick guy on this one... if it ain't ur car, don't be calling someone out with it, especially if you ain't doing the driving... Didn't like the buick guy, actually thought the Ford guy was more mature about it all, just thought they should have used their own cars

we weren't gonna run the nova....i was just there listening to the guy run his mouth ,acting like an idiot......the truth is,i told the guy i could set up a race w/ a car at the track on friday night.....NEVER SAID SHIT ABOUT RACING MY MUSTANG.....CUZ IT WOULDN'T OUTRUN THAT BUICK.....when we were talkin shit in the parking lot......the engine was being installed in the car that the we would have raced him with at that very moment..and was gonna be ready around 12-1 am........after i left sonic,cruised down the road a bit to where they were racing.....then went to irving,got there and hepled them finish the installation..it was ready to race at around 1 !!!! we called the guy....and i guess when he found out who he dealing w/ he decided otherwise.......i guess if he wants to race for money...he knows where the tracks are.....we'll be at kennedale friday night...and denton saturday night....

we're contimplating running outlaw 10.5 w/ the nova friday night,the car we were gonna race the white buick in will be running true 10.5......i'm taking my stang out just to relieve some stress,if we don't run the nova i will have plenty of time to make some pass's.........come by and say howdy.....

i didn't race him in my car cuz i knew it wouldn't beat him....i just got sick of his diarhea mouth.....i knew i had a car sitting in my shop that would bust his ass.....i don't make enough money to bet 10k on a race but i got connects that have the cars and the bank to back it......all i said to the man was that i could set up a race for some big $$ if he wanted to do it friday night....and it snow ball'd from there.......i also seen on a previous post in this thread that i was the owner of the BGN....thats not true....i have been working on it for a few yrs now but its not mine......it has run the best of 4.702....its not the fastest koth car....but its knockin on the door
