I have been pumping these L7 15's since they first came out with over 1000w RMS each and had no problems.
I have plans to put 2 of the new 18" SoloX on aroung 8000w in the next 6 months........
I believe they are .5 ohm stable and handle 5000w RMS.

I run all JL stuff in my Z and it is very nice stuff. Up front I have an Alpine 7998. I have one 12W3v2 and it is running off a 500/1 amp (not too much bass by any means but sounds nice to me). I have their JL XR-653CSi up front in kick panels (midrange+tweet) and midbass in door. That runs off a 300/4 for the front and I have some Kappa plates for rear fill. I am going to pick up a 300/2 at some point to bi-amp my front comps for much cleaner and louder sound as well as more control.

Also, I have had quite a few bad experiences with PPI ... when they were purchased by that other company. It took me three tries to get an PC4400 fixed. I have an old A200 in my F-150 w/ a Pioneer Premier deck and the sound is very nice. I only have Polk DX's in there but they sound good until I feel like installing some comps.

I have never used Kicker stuff, but I have only heard positives about it. Great amps and those square subs are nice too.

Last thing...shop around for pricing! Most mobile audio/video is super marked up. I dunno if EW is on this site anymore or not but he own's Autosound in the HEB area and cut me a great deal on my Stealthbox. I picked up a few amps used, speakers at wholesale, kicks off ebay, other stuff online. Your cash will go so much further by taking your time and planning what you want.
