Drove the Camaro to work last night and ran across a few Stangs on 190

I was headed down 78 to 190 and a yellow SN95 Cobra pulls infront of me and we both get onto 190. I get in the middle lane and he stays in the right lane. Then I start pulling up next to him and he takes the first exit :( . Oh well. It was a nice car anyway. So I keep on going. Then after I cross over 75 and pass up Custer there is a couple of guys in a real clean black fox body LX with a cowl hood that pull up next to me. I look over and they are just checking out my car then drive on. I figured they would try and race me but they didn't. Which if fine by me since I am not much for highway racing especialy since I have front runners and hoosier A40 rear tires with 20PSI. Car kind of walks in the grooves in the road...lol. Anyway, That was probably one of the cleanest Fox body stangs I have seen in a long time. Just after they pass me I see a 88 or so blue and silver GT with the Mach 1 hood. He was just driving kind of fast and went on by so I just went on. No races for the Camaro but that might be a good thing with the new laws and all. Yesterday Morning CarNDrvr and I were coming home from work (driving down 190 from Josey/Dickerson twords 75) I am in my blue 78 Camaro and he is in his yellow 77 Z28 and a red SN95 body style Saleen (or at least it was made up like one) with black tail lights weaves between us in traffic. He also didn't do anything just drove on by and kept going. It is weird to see so many decent cars out and not one try and pick a race. Oh well, any of these cars happen to belong to people on the board here?

This is a pointless thread. Were you looking for a race and just ran across some guys that weren't dumb enough to try to race on 1-90 where there is usually cops hiding everywhere??

Normally there would have been a race or 2 yes. I was supprised that there as not. I was not out looking for a race though, I was on my way to work. But the main reason for the post was to see if it was anyone on this site. But I guess it doesn't matter since you just want to be a bunch of smart asses.

Did your car have a cage in it? Older model ? Headed west on 190? I think the black fox was mine... I was driving with a friend and came by for a glance. If that was you I was kinda waiting for you to do something but you didn't so I just kepting rolling on...

a "normal" person in a Stang they know to be fast is not going to pick on a couple of Gen 2 'Maros that look like 17 second cars with large tires and hoods... at least that is my take on the situation.;)

lol... you might be right IF either of our cars fit that discription. Hell, neither of our cars sound stock. We both have fairly raticle cams and it is pretty hard to miss the roll cage in my car...lol. I am sure they knew they were out gunned so decided not to make themselves look bad infront of the others on the road. You, of all people, know how I feel about highway racing so it is not like I was out looking for a race. It just struck me as odd that not even 1 of them tried anything. But anyway... I will be at Denton Friday night (since it will be MM from 10"30 - 4:00am and only $5.00 race or watch) if you care to come out, I will be happy to show you what the back of a second gen Camaro looks like :D

Yep.. that was me. You have a DAMN nice car. One of the cleanest Fox body Stangs I have seen in a long time. I was pretty much doing the same thing though...lol. My shifter is not adjusted quite right yet and some times when I go to put it in second it goes all the way back into 1st so I am a little timmid to go downshifting on the highway when I am already taching 3,000 RPM in 3rd gear...lol. What all is done to your car? I couldn't hear it over mine so I couldn't tell.

It's just a Winsdor with full exhaust, so it's pretty quiet...

Was up Henry.... No, Shane sold the motor out of his car to Robert and is selling the car to Joe then turning around and buying Guses Malibu....lol. He drove his to work the same day I did so we could get our race out of the way before he took it appart. But even then it was all screwed up since there was no one to start us and his car was not runing right. I did make up the road infront of the building a bit though. :D It is amazing how many people are inside what appears to be empty warehouses at 2:00am when you have a couple of loud ass cars runing up and down the road.....lol. Josh (BadAssChevy) said that he can get me some tires to use so we will see. I will be three though. I have 2 full bottles sitting right here. :eek:

LOL I am planning on comming friday night also!

Bringing the slow car! WRX new motor in using a base map and low boost just to see where the new motor is from stock one.
