Computer Problems

I have an HP pavillion 6535 that was working fine and then it suddenly started going slow as if I were using dail up. I currently have service through SBC yahoo. I have a Efficient networks speedstream modem model #5360 and have noticed that the act light is blinking really fast and my computer is going really slow, I have had this service for almost a year and this just started.Any clues, can anyone help me out?

type netstat -a in a command prompt and paste what it says, you probably have the klez or some other lame virus.

Also, if you are uploading via kazaa or some other application, it will definstaly slow your computers browsing speed down.
