We are 1-1. You are lucky I'm throwing out the redlight race. In all the racing world a redlight is a loss. Why is that difficult to understand? :)
Anyway. I really hadn't planned on racing this weekend because my family was out of town this past weekend and we are gonna do something together. How bout the weekend of Oct 3-4? I'll definately be there.

Translation: This is the weekend I am installing the 125 shot on the X, so I can't make it. By Oct 3-4 I should have it all ironed out and be ready to race.

And unless you're sleeping at Billy's house, you might want to add the distance back to Cedar Hill into your round trip calculation.

For me it's about 30 miles to Denton and 48 to Kennedale....
Racing on Fridays is no good anways.... Just come to Denton on a Saturday nite when it's KOTH and you get the best of both worlds.
Kick ass Pro racing, a good track, and not a whole lot of riff raff screwing the track up.

The track wasn't screwed up. There were hardly any ricers out there this past friday. I saw a ton of sticky tired cars running. A ton of them. So I really don't know what you're talking about Chris. When I went Sunday all that is out there is ricers. I got a 1.56 60' last Friday. The track was fine.
You sure you don't have your riff raffs mixed up?

I'm talking about sitting in the staging lanes for 2 hours and only getting to make 1 run.
By riff raff I meant alot of stuff going on that prevented ME folks from making a bunch of runs..
Come to DENTON !

Seriously. You and Al always use homosexual references in your smack talk. It's really disturbing. How you describe the acts with such detail is a testimonial of your homosexual lifestyle either it be hidden or out in the open. Either way could you please quit taking the conversation down that road?

And you are telling me its cool to run low 7's in a turbo stang?? Come on now...you would be happy with that? And a cam only car is beating up on them..its just sad.

Chris Back in the day I put togehter a stock rod/stock block/stock crank 306 similar to what I have now and ran 6.80s at 100mph on motor. The difference between that car and this one is that this car has all the smog stuff, is quiet, driven to the track, weighs 400lbs more and is not a trailer queen. That was then and this is now. You can't keep a car togehter for more than one run these days and your project 93Z is never gonig to run again. How thick is the dust on that thing these days?

Why are you trying to diss on me because your car doesn't run what it should? I have had 3 bikes, and probably 3-4 cars since my 93 has been down...so its not like I have been working on it the whole time its been down. Now I have my own house, and a 2000 GMC thats paid for, a 2000 Zx12 thats paid for(which runs low 9's)...and I still have a 93Z which I have been working on lately. When it comes out, I PROMISE it won't run 7's in the 1/8 mile......and I am gonna be setup on 315 drag radials, 6 speed with 3.25 gears, t-88 turbo.....and with itty bitty Brembo brakes up front. My car already has a full coilover suspension with custom valved and shortened Bilsteins.....just incase you want to leave the drag strip and take some turns. It just takes awhile to build the ultimate F-body when I have so much else going on :) But, none of this has anything to do with your low 7 sec turbo mustang, now does it :)

That wasn't a thrown together setup. Kirk spent many months carefully coming up with what he needed to beat LS1s. He went back to the drawing board 4xs also. It is a well thought out calculated screw up.

I am a long way from being "stuck" in the low 7s....
Trust me if I was setting this car up to be an all out track monster I would have headed a different direction with it a long time ago.
I wanted a car that would do well in all arenas, and that's what I have built. When I have gone as fast as I can go with a 5 speed with this combo, I'll throw an automatic in it.
This turbo hasn't even broken a sweat at the track. I'll just keep getting a little better at tuning and driving and getting faster and what not and if I blow it up I will fix it again and learn a little each time.
Meanwhile you just concentrate on your own car.

Turbo cars VS Cam Only Ls1......"Wait till next week, I will have XXXXXX installed...I will bust that ass". I don't even know why we are having this argument...should a built, turbocharged'ed stang even be in the same timezone as a cam only, daily driver Ls1? You wouldn't think so :( Turn the boost up or something...you don't want a stock motor, cam only Ls1 beating you to the 6's do ya??? DFWSTANGS....were Turbo'ed Stangs run like motor cars!

But serious. I have 355rwhp and with the same 60' as your car; a 1.60 gets me 7.30s So why can't a car with 495rwhp/500rwtq run a 6.9 with a 1.60 60'?

Bad driving? I'm sure it has a 6.90 in it. I've only made 6 passes in it so far.... let a brother get a little seat time. I get faster every time out.

One time it's 380rwhp with the auto and the next time its 355rwhp with the auto. Which is it? You make less than 20rwhp more than Lane and he has a bone stock motor with a crappy LS1 intake. How is it you make so little HP with your combo?

1.) In July Salazar dynoed the car and it came up with 358rwhp
2.) My best dyno was at Speedtek with a 377rwhp that was in March this year
So either the extreme heat and humidity this summer took away 20hp from March to July or my lifters really are bleeding off at high rpms.
BTW Lane has an 01 motor; they come stock with LS6 intakes
