If I have two 4 ohm twelves. Rockford HE's. What amp would be best as far as ohm, wattage, and bridgeability. I want to stay with a Rockford amp. The wattage on the is 200 RMS.

Being that your subs are 4 ohm, I would pick a mono (single channel) amp that fits your budget.

Wire the subs in paralell (+ to + and - to -) to get a 2 ohm load. The mono amps will perform very well with this load.

The amount of power needed is going to vary depending on the type of enclosure you are using.

Sealed =The most power you can afford

Ported =Little less power

Bandpass =Smallest amount of power needed

Of course there is always a trade-off

Sealed=Most accurate, smallest

Ported=Less accurate, larger, louder at the frequency that the port is tuned to

Bandpass=Lest accurate (plays in very small frequency range), very large (if built properly), Very loud at the frequency the port is tuned to (you are only listening to the port)

I went with a sealed enclosure. I might just go with another brand then. What brand do you recommend?

Is this enough power? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1051384104090&skuId=5221887&type=product&productCategoryId=cat03087

It says 300 RMS x 1 @ 2 ohms. My speakers are 200 RMS each.

What kind of car is it going in?How will the speakers be oriented?Do you plan on using any processing and what kind of music do you listen to?What kind of price range are you in?

My friend has a stereo shop in NE dallas and can usually cut some real good deals.

it's in my mustang. I made the box myself. The volume is correct for these speakers. I do not live in Dallas so I have to order something or buy from somewhere around here. I think I will go with the mono amp above. I listen to just about everything. The speakers are facing towards the front. The rear seat is deleted.
