I have a factory single CD player in a 96 Cobra, and a CD is stuck in it and won't eject. Any idea how to get it out?
Thanks,
Andy

Will the CD play? About the only option is to do surgery if you want it back.

I bought a used CD once. Left the store, popped it in and drove home. I pushed eject and nothing happened. I took the Pioneer head apart and removed the CD. While I was inspecting the CD for damage I popped another one in to see if it would eject. It worked just fine. So I put the player back together and put it back in the dash. The next day I pop in the used CD, it played just fine. I went to eject it and it jammed again. Doh! How could I be so stupid?! (Don't answer that!) I took the player out of the dash and took it apart again. Removed the cd. While it was still apart, I hooked the power back up and inserted the used cd and it got stuck again. I had to forcibly remove it again. I put 20 other cds in that player and immediately ejected them with no problems. So I put the player back together and reinstalled it. I took the used cd to the store and told them that I isolated it as causing the problem and wanted a refund. He looked at it to check for damage, but there was none because I was very careful. He gave me a refund and put it back on the shelf after me telling him that it was a different size and that I had spent a few hours dealing with it. Hope the next guy had better luck with it. I had the player for 4 more years and it never malfunctioned again. I didn't shop at that store again.

Yeah, it still plays. I guess I'd better either get used to Audioslave or else pull the unit out of the dash and yank the thing out, huh?

It finally came out. I tried pushing the button again just before I pulled the deck, and it popped out. Now I'm a little afraid to stick another one in. Thanks for the suggestions.

Sadly, there is not much you can do. If you have the slave CD setup you just need to replace it. The mech is designed be sony
and the problem you are having is a common one. You can get it repaired but you would eventually have the same problem.
Sorry man.
