I just found out that my whoule group is going to be laid off within the next few weeks.

If you know anyone that's hiring for administrative work, customer service, inside sales, or in the medical field (going to school to be a nurse but I don't have any experience yet) then PLEASE let me know.

TIA,
Stephanie

Damn, that sucks. What type of business is it that you work for now? I know someone who I think does some hiring for a medically-related company in Denton. I can check into it.

I live in Hurst but I work in Lewisville currently. I would drive to Carrollton (or Denton).

Right now I work for Honeywell in the Security division. We manufacture/sell CCTV systems to dealers and distributors. I'm in customer service over here and I also work with the inside sales people. I use to be an administrative assistant when I worked for Cisco Systems. I liked that better than customer service, but I'm open.

Thanks!

Out of curiousity, did you check on that source listing? There is a slight possibility I may be moving back up that way, and will be looking as well.

Dispatcher. I did it for several years and it was a wonderful job. Not to mention that you could work nights/weekends so you can still go to school. Police Departments are always looking for people. Depending on what agency you go to work for, you would start at roughly $10-12/hour, normally with good benefits: medical, sick leave, and all that, plus all the overtime you could hope for. I used to work for Crowley, but I know people in Arlington. Lemme kn9ow if you are going to apply, and I will see what I can do for you.
Good luck:)

I wouldn't mind doing that at all... but it doesn't look like it pays enough. :(
If you know where I can get more than what you mentioned, I'd definitely apply! :)

Jimbo.... what source listing are you talking about?

Steph! I remember talking to you at Ultrak.
This is John with APP in Oregon. (prolly don't remember me)
You worked with Richard Hansen on my Kroger warranty stuff.
We chatted a bit and talked stangs for awhile.
Bummer they moved everything out. Those f'n bastards changed up so many damn times. First Diamond, then Ultrak, then Ademco, now Honeywell. Hope you find a new job. Security industry is still a good one to be in.

check your school newspaper, in the classified ads there are always ads for student/part time jobs (they might not be what you want but just thought I'd help!)

Not sure if you want to work in Fort Worth or not, but go to TarrantCounty.com, they have openings for the court house and other government jobs, I'm looking into a few positions they have open.

Also, our company is hiring outside sales reps, its probably not that exciting, but I some of the guys here take home some pretty hefty checks, if you can sale.
