On my Toyo Proxes I can pull a 2.0 60 ft at the track(not consistently .....yet) what benefit would I see from switching to drag radials if any????

i've gotten a 1.9 60' with a pair of 245/45/17 nittos, but some are getting 1.6 or lower out of bfg's and et streets.

Skip the DRs and get an old set of wheels or some rear Welds and run some ET streets.

hey skip, i met you at ennis about two weeks ago. i had the red 97 GT. skip all the drag radial crap and just get some ET streets or ET drags.
if you are totally opposed to ET streets or drags the drag radials will help you. drag radials should cut some 1.90s or better and they will also eliminate any spin you are getting on the 1-2 shift and the 2-3 shift.

the car is not my daily driver and whatever I put on there will stay on there at all times.....just think the car would look damn funny with 18in saleens up front and 16 inchers in the back rolling around town.....I may just try the drags and use them for a street tire and just bite the damn bullet and get the slicks for the track.....I just have a fear of breaking shit in my rear end(ok that did not sound good, but you guys know what I mean)

i have seen people break parts on street tires. if it is gonna break, it will break. get you some fifteen in wheels off of a ranger or V6 mustang and put some 26x8.5 on them

i've got a 17" 99+ five-star wheels with a fairly worn set of nitto drag radials on them, if you're interested. the nittos are 245/45/17's. if you're interested, let me know.

Damn, I think you get the reward for best 60ft!!!!!! A 24 series tire, thats no fuckin sidewall... lol
My bone stock suspension P.O.S. went 1.59 on 26x10 MT slicks.
I also ran a 2.0 on 225/55/R15 Sumitomo H rated tires on motor.

just remember, i dont believe nitto has their "car" size 18 inch drag radials out yet, and im not sure if BGF has their new G-force Drag Radials out yet either.

you need some track tires. Dr's are better than street tires but they dont last long on a daily driver and still wont get you traction like a slick will.

nitto has the 305/30 18's but I'm going with the 295-35-18 bfg gforce drags due to the slight sidewall advantage so I can at least lower the pressure a little bit.....as long as I cut a 1.9 or so it will put me in the 12's with full interior and then I can say I have a true "street car" in full trim that runs 12's without a bottle to fill.....
