In my opinion ... 12's in the 1/4 ... 8's in the 1/8th. On street tires of course.

I agree with Damon. That's "somewhat" fast.

12's is very respectable imo for a daily driven street car on street tires. I'm no where near that ET wise, but MPH is another story :D

STFU John you post whore. :p He has the bumper less black cobra, it will soon be out of the shop with bumpers and a different color, hopefully you can get that sucker to run 10's and win car shows!! :D

He "asks" because he wants his ego stroked. What would be even more lame was if the time is his friends car and he's trying to ride the "my friend has a fast car" bandwagon.

Talking 1/4 mile, I'd say low 12s is fast, but 11's are almost necessary to be competitive anymore. If you've got a solid 11 second car, you aren't going to roll up on too much that can do any damage to you.

well i'm seeing alot of cars on here going in the 6's
i think i could pull off a high 6 with front runners maybe...

Not on true "Street Tires", not even Nitto's you won't.

Well, he is talking about running a 7.0 on slicks....so does that really constitute a street car?

I always assumed that a "street" car was on "street" tires....JMHO

He isnt always on slicks, and even though, pretty impressize if you ask me, 18 inch chrome saleen rims up front on slicks running 7.0 is impressive, that car has a cd player, cold ac, FULL leather interior, stock 4.6 block, and is about to have the full saleen body kit with a nice new paint job and going to run 10's!! IMPRESSIVE!! :D

Arite, fine...it's his car. So, is he asking this question because he's stupid or because he's a braggart?

I find it hard to believe that someone can have a 11ish 1/4 car and not figure out for themselves that it's "fast".

As an old fart - back in "the day" a 12 second car was fast. An 11 second car had slicks and was trailered to the track. A 10 second car.... was freakin awesome. A 9 second car was a rail.

Now all of you kids have power adders and aluminum heads and such and 11 seconds can be achieved driving through the gates with the A/C blasting and AC/DC playing on the CD changer on drag radials

what else is on the car, bolt ons and a 125 shot wont get you a 7 flat in a car that year model.

Nothing crazy done to that car, :p, P/P heads, blower cams, all the little rinky dink 4.6 bolts on and a little spray, and he has the driver mod.

I dont think 8's in the 1/8 mile is really quick anymore. Maybe an 8 flat, but 8's are getting pretty common. I say when you start digging past 7.5 on drag radials, that becomes an eye opener. 11's in the 1/4 pretty much assure not much is going to touch you on the streets.

<--doesnt run 11's and doesnt run 7.5 :(
