View Full Version : Killing my own, killing them all.......

Last nite I went for a little test and tune up the Tollway and service roads.
I killed a 98 Mustang pretty bad - as he got beside me and nailed it I did the same. From a 4th gear punch, running it up to 4900, I put about 8 car lengths on him. This took about 3 seconds.
Then I spotted a white LS1 and went after him. From a 45 MPH roll in 3rd I shot past him, and immediately had multiple cars on him, and he gave up.
At the light he asked what I had and I tried to tell him it was just a big motor with stock exhuast, but he told me he could hear the turbo over his motor. He said he had pretty much all the bolt ons
I asked him if he would roll out past the light and stay in it hard for a bit, and he agreed.
So..... shortshifting at every gear at 4900 I put about 6-7 cars on him up to 90ish. Next light he was grinning and said "Impressive!"
A good tune and this thing is going to be MURDER....

Chris, your car is probably down 100hp with the "setup" tune you have on there. It'll be crazy with a tune and some time to get used to the new power. I'm amazed at how your car hooks with as much power it is putting out. I'm a firm believer in Maximum Motorsports stuff now buddy!
Mashing the throttle in your cruising gear to put six cars on a full bolt on LS1 is fun ain't it? ;)

Yeah the MM stuff is working wonders.. It tries to light the tires at the top of second, but recovers pretty quick, and just hooks and goes.
It should be real fun after I put the tune on it.......

Chris, since I'll be up there racing Kirk tonight, would you like to race me at Denton?*
*My Lawyer has asked me to attach this rider on every "Wanna Race" post:
This is not a callout and you are not required to race. Please do not get all mad at me if you are not ready or do not want to race. If you are not ready or do not want to race, that is fine. No harm, no foul. This is not a life or death situation. I don't mind losing.
I'll propose a race at the motorplex....

UHHHHH...hello....I've always liked the 1/4 mile tracks. Don't lump me in with the people who like that 1/8 mile shit. I only do that when there is no place else to go.

Kill two birds with one stone..

Hey Chris, let me know if you are going to sell that "low Power" torque arm. I am having traction issues and I think a TA would help a bunch. I also think it would help in the turns under power to help plant the rear end by attempting to lift the front.
Bye the way, what kind of power are you "planning" to make? I think you are probably already there and there is plenty more to come....Good Job!!!!
