I'll race you at Denton if you want to race. End of story. The other tracks are too much of a drive for me in the 100 degree heat in rush hour traffic. When it cools down, it will be easier for me to drive to the other tracks but not while it is 100 degrees outside. Having said that, I'm sure I'm bound to get called out by every LS1 type within a 100 mile radius to every track but Denton. But, the one time I went to race Moncuse X at Kennedale, it took nearly two hours for my car to cool down after driving/sitting for over an hour to get there. Little did I know at the time that I'd be waiting five hours surrounded by every ricer in the DFW area for nothing. So..... Flame on Mr. Kettle, as I'm sure you and others will.

You continued to play games and said you would only race at Denton indicating you were willing to race. You could have said you were working on your car. If I was scared, why would I agree to meet you at the track of your choice? Why would I offer to buy you ice and let your car cool down? That's not the usual actions of someone who is scared.

I've raced a bunch of people on this site. Why? Because, I was never scared of losing to anyone. I'm the only person on this site who had a map of where I worked so that if anyone wanted to race me, they'd know exactly where I was.

And how many people have you raced on this site? A believe the grand total is whopping 5 people of which only 1 had a grudge against you. And Mike had to jump in line so you would finally line up with him.

I don't have to convince myself that you were scared, it's obvious. You didn't want your LS1 record to go 0-3. That's why even strangers on this site call you a chump.

I was already running better times than him at the time I announced the retirement of racing my daily driver to build a "race car". I put it back to stock and sold the parts off of it to afford the new project.

So since my motor for the project is currently under the workbench it would be a little difficult to "line up".

No, as I stated earlier. You said Redline was too far and I said Denton was too far. That's a valid reason even though you could beat me to Redline since you leave work at 5 and I leave at 6:30.

1. Refusing to race me face to face at the MMCM. We were both there with out cars. Miller Rd. was just down the street. I raced a juiced 306 right after the meet.
2. Refusing to accept my offer to race at lunchtime because you lied that you didn't "streetrace".
3. Backing out of a previously agreed race at Redline.
4. Lying that you couldn't race at the Redline F&G because you were "currently putting in a cage”.

I can't remember in the several years of knowing David, that he has ever backed down on racing someone, even someone he knows is faster than him. An example would be several years ago, when I hadn't even met him but got to know him from shit talking on LS-1.com and from friends of mine frequenting the site.

When we were to race, David asked how fast my car was, which at the time had a 5 speed and was running mid to high 10's. David admitted that he probably couldn't hang but offered to race anyway in Ennis and showed up to race. The race never happened, mainly because neither one of us had anything to prove and we both appreciated a fast car, regardless of the brand. He offered again to race later that night I believe and was willing to wait until my car cooled to race. This was even after I had busted several 10.70-10.90/130+ passes that night already, which he witnessed. He was not running 10's then....He knew but still offered to race because he came there to race. I can't speak for every situation, but in my experiences with him at the track, he has always been willing to race, period. This isn't about David being "one of my buddies", this is fact. I have been there- btw, he was the only LS-1 that was willing to race me that one night, that by itself gave me respect for him and we have been friends since. The stuff about being scared to race just doesn't wash.
