I'm wondering, what did your cars run your first time out. A little tuning is ok, just no times after the car had been running for several months.
1st n2o was a 5.95 @ 118. 1st motor was 6.64 @ 105 The n2o pass was with 750 psi bottle pressure and 4.88 gears. I didn't think that I could make a full pass with the 88s. It was close, redline or the end of the track.
I was happy with the et, but back then cele3(rob) was #1 with a 5.92!

yeah my dad races a green coupe with a white hood (soon to match the color of his car) and he has 4.88 and he's hitting his redline right as he crosses the finish line 8,000rpms i believe... but he only has 383 stroker (yes thats a chevy motor sittin in that poor 93 coupe...) he runs high 6's with a powerglide tranny and n/a he hates any kind of forced induction and despises Nitrous...

I ran a 6.5@105mph the first time out with my 5spd 306, and a 175 plate. But thats only a homebuilt 306.

Ok, I went 7.49 on the first pass (which was leaving off idle and just cruising.....Licensing passes), second pass was 6.84-leaving at 2000rpm or so and just crusing......, third pass went 6.21 @109. Left on the t-brake and it reached for the sky....tightend the struts up some and went 6.09 @ 109 again. Last pass was on the Fogger, this is when things got interesting.........T-brake....decked around 5600 and nothing but sky again.....finally got it back down and back on the gas in high gear (powerglide)...went 5.92 at 129.
Combo was..
408 flat top around 14:1
TFS-R head (Trevor Johnson ported)
Lunati Solid roller (.640ish" lift nitrous cam)
Victor Jr (modified by Tom Cox)
Chuck Nyuten Dominator (1340 cfm)
Pro Mustang 2" headers
4" Exhaust w/Bullets
Powerglide and 3.73's
I sure do miss that car.......
