Unfortunately I missed last weeks fun because I was out of town. Just wondering if you wanted to come out to Denton and get a little 2 out of three going for the number 1 spot. If not I guess thats OK I know it is kinda last second. We will be out there and it will be nice to get some side by side racing for once.
Or if anybody else wants to get some grudge matches going like maybe Andrew?

Nothing has really changed right now, I'm just ready to run it some and it would be nice to get some good races in. Also we would get to see current times out of the 2 fastest and in the dead heat. We plan on making some changes by FFW but they are minimal. We will probably just move the intercooler to in the car, which will pull 70lbs. off the core support. Everything else will stay the same for the FFW then we will start getting ready for next year. Who knows what next year will bring maybe a 100mm???
Jeremy's car is running but we are still waiting for the new maf, it is suppose to be here by the end of the week. It should be running something in FFW.
BTW Sdun do you plan on running FFW you should put some DR's on it or go after them in Renegade you should be legal for either.

I'm getting my mass air meter recal'd for 160# injectors so I don't think I'll be able to make it... I'm up for a race the next weekend though!

Ok we will let you go this time. Just thought we would call you out with bald slicks, be like calling us out with Broke cam, cam followers off, and blown head gaskets Right? Oh well with your
fresh rubbers , more boost , and a level car , maybe even some
pinion angle, then it will be a better race.

Still waiting to here from Sdun , this would be a fun one!

LOL... at the time you didn't know what was wrong... but yes, I didn't call you out at your best. The 6.13 to 6.19 race was pretty close (if you ignore reaction time) though. I'll be practicing my pro tree and the next race is gonna be closer!

your right it was close E.t , but next time both cars should be in better shape. this will leave an exciting race, you with new tires
and more boost, and our good friend SSttttudddering Stanley gone. the cobra is a whole different car now, as yours should be with the changes you are making . I am sure next weekend shall
be fine , it will give you a full week to prepare.

ps: be sure to install your rub rails ,and put on a fresh pair of
Fruit of The Looms.

You know how many Vuribles that are involved in every pass , so it could be anybody's race. that is a good attitude to have, I still think with a couple changes to your car you will be suprised what it can do . Dont be so stubborn , let your tires down, with the new
tires it will be stable. Oh by the way , skip all those Mickey mouse
pulleys and spin that bitch, I'm sure AL P would be happy to see
use that big Nasty 77, 27 combo.

Now, what you dont know is that that your car has a timer ticking
tick, tick, tick, time bomb . how long can you hang off the cliff by
your shoe laces is the Question. Maybe you should go get those
plugs and this gas before your car just blows up setting in your garage.

I have my son with me this weekend, he goes to his moms ever other wknd. I will probably go the the Denton FNG in Sept. Maby we can hook up there. I have thought about the DR class. The only problem with my combo is my suspension is set up for slicks w/ no wheelie bars(not alot of weight transfer to keep the front tires on the ground) and it works so good that I hate to change anything(1.27 60ft).

Thats what I think. Big wheel stands look cool but are not much for ET. Thats why I NT the car, slower cars will race a car with exaust that keep the tires on the ground.:D

thats just your loose rockers, we made around 250 passes with d1, it was not until we started making over 1000 hp that we started findig the limits of our combo.

Thats cool we will do it then. I know all about not having much weight transfer with a 70lbs intercooler sitting on the core support. The drag radials are really good tires I have a best of a 1.31 on a brand new set of slicks and a best of 1.41 on DR's. Alot of what you lose on the sixty you pick up on the big end. That is what I will be running, there is the most chance for driver error in that class I think.

I'm sure your making around 1000 hp at the crank right now, it is
awesome you make that power, I am just saying we have been pressing the limits of the mod motor to find the limits. at this point it is just trial & error, It would be nice to have 30 plus years
of knowledge in the motor that there is in pushrods. We are getting real close to figuring out the few weak spots we have and taking measures to make it capable of around 1500-1600 hp
with our new turbo setup.

120.3 mph @ 3250# -> ~835 rwhp... assuming 20% driveline loss that gives me 1044 crank horsepower...

You guys are going turbo next year? Aren't you ever going to give me a chance to catch up? :( ;)

Hey, since you are up on the formulas, what does this equal?

123.1 mph @ 3320 # ? just wondering what your formula =

I have a close estimate , just like to see what you think.

I used prestage.com car math to do it...

it says ~915 rwhp to go 123.05 @ 3320#.

best times for that power:

5.70 @ 123.05 1/8
8.95 @ 152.35 1/4

You're not too far off..... :)
