antenna re-route?

what are the options I have if I shave my antenna.
what kinda other antennas are there to replace it with that aren't external and do they work?
I have seen some Hondas with this little antenna that is stuck to the back window and only a few inches long, is this an option?

I shaved my antenna and bought a "tape wire" antenna from Radio Shack. Signal is degraded but if you want a clean look that appears to be the only option. Time to think about XM Radio :D
