CAD/CAM or Developers Monitor

I'm looking for a Wide screen Monitor, but I haven't had any luck finding them anywhere, I currently have a 21" CRT, but I would really like to get something that has quite a bit wider display, anyone know who makes them, or where you can get them? Something that will do say 3200x1200 resolution.

SGI make a lcd widescreen monitor, its a older model, but it looks bad ass, type lcd SGI in google, you'll find it. Then look for it on ebay.

why does it say it needs a speacial card to use that monitor ???

I did some looking and I could get 2 of the sgi sw 1600's for under 600 bux, and I could prolly take them apart and build a custom enclosure and have them butt up next to each other and have 1 big screen, instead of having 2 monitors next to each other.

you will need a video card that can display wide aspect ratio resolutions or else everything will look vertically distorted.

My ATI All in wonder 256mb pro can do just about all of them.

Most high end video cards will work.

I wasn't sure if the connections where fine... my card and well do over the specs I may buy one LOL
