You can get it pretty cheap at Tiger Direct (http://www.tigerdirect.com), but I agree about not wanting to buy it to try it out. I was actually looking at some cheap PCs that come with it installed, so I might end up getting a copy anyways. I also found it on iMesh but I couldnt connect to anyof the users that had it.

Yep, that is the one I was thinking about getting. I need to buy a couple of cheap computers for my new store and found those. And even if I don't like or can't use Lindows in the store I can always just install XP or something.

interesting. i just went to TigerDirect and saw this about the $170 computer:

256MB PC2100 DDR Memory Learn More
No Hard Drive Needed!*
56x CD-ROM Drive

It says it runs from the CD-ROM. So what do you do when you want to save something? Burn it?

Well, Basically that is just a web box, good for just surfing and what not. All you really need to do is buy a HDD, slap it in their and you're ready to save stuff  . Not a bad deal if you just need a second PC. I was looking at them because in the store I am opening up, I don't need naything out of the computers except to be able to surf the web.

Besides the obvious, do you know anything about the OS itself? I know what it costs and I know that I can get it for free if need be. I do not know how it runs or what other programs, hardware or drivers it will support. That is the type of info I am looking for.

Why in the hell would you want a linux system running windows applications? That defeats the whole purpose of having a secure and stable system thats worth a shit. Just install windows on it, you'd be happier, and it would save me the drama from answering retard linux questions that you are sure to end up asking.
