when you don't pay attention. So I'm formatting a few computer's that a friend of mine wanted to upgrade to WinXP using a Wipe Disk that formats everything (and uses some kind of government or military standard for erasing shit) and I remember a few people asking for a copy of it so I upload it onto the DFW Stangs server while installing Norton Anti-Virus... Anyway, so Norton ask to reboot and I do and walk away... but I forgot to take the GD!!!! Floppy out of the drive and I come back to my computer formatting :mad: :mad: It took me an hour or so to restore from CD's and another 20 minutes to get my connection and misc. shit installed. Dammit! All because I should have been paying better attention. Now I've gotta download all my warez including downloading and installing Enemy Territory :mad:

That sucks.

One of our computers in the payroll office booted up one day and did a PXE boot which boots up to our Ghost server. The lady was freaking out thinking we erased her HD. Of course it was waiting for a ghost session to start so no harm done.

BTW, payroll people dont have a sense of humor.

No matter what OS I install on any of my computers, once its up and running, I always go into the bios and turn off the cdrom and floppy boot options, luckily though, most of my computers do not have floppy drives... as grant well knows :cool:

Live and learn I guess. I think Norton has an option for "prompting" you to remove a floppy before it shuts down. Gotta remember to enable that sucker :D

FlashFXP is the best out of the ftp software programs. Use Kazaa Lite. I also have ner0 6.0 iso if you would like. Contact me on aim :>

Thanks guys for the help! Photoshop I've got on CD so that's no biggie. I do want to grab the new Nero 6.0 as it wasn't out when I downloaded the version I have. I installed Kazaa Lite this morning so I can start getting some of the software. I'll let you guys know if I need something in particular.

How's the Nero 6 working out? I'd like to get that. As far as FTP software, I just prefer CuteFTP because I'm more familiar with it. Thanks though.

Lesson number two learned : Now that I have a DVD-RW I'll start backing up my warez so as not to repeat a stupid mistake :D
