Has anyone used their "Fanatic" and better lines of coaxial speakers? I have a friend who swears by them, and I was just wondering how their quality compared to something like an Infinity, Focal, MB Quart. I've never heard them in a vehicle, just at Best Buy :rolleyes:

the finatics are pretty damn good, but if you want a quality co-ax, i would recommend the diamonds. they are bad ass.

fanatics are junk, IMO. We installed a set in a civic. The tweeter died while setting the gain.
While I'm partial to MB Quart, you should listen to the speakers with music you are familiar with and take into consideration how elaborate the crossover is and what kind of tweeter guard the set has. If the crossover has one capacitor and one coil, steer clear. Quart uses a light bulb for the tweeter guard to burn off excess current that the tweeter can not handle. That way, if you're running the amp into clipping, the tweeter does not shut off. The 2003 Quart line up is the best they've ever had!

the problem with speakers is that not everybody likes the same sound. so really you should go listen to each of the speakers you are sonsidering buying and then decide.

MB is good in just about any environment. You just need some signal processors to make them fit your individual needs.
