Im going to get a new internet service when i move and was wanting to get some suggestions on what to get, either DSL or Cable. I can get a DSL service with d/l speeds of 768kbps-1.5mbps and u/l speeds of 256kbps. Or i could go with a cable modem for the same price as the DSL. Service through DSL is SBC, and through Cable is Cox Commun.

I think your DL/UL speed will vary with either offering.
In the circles I run in, cable seems to be more reliable than DSL but that can vary depending on the infrastructure in your local area.
I believe cable requires no contract and is month-to-month billing. In case it doesn't work out, you are not out any penalty $ for breaking the agreement. In some Charter markets, cable internet is only offered to cable TV subsribers.
Ck out www.DSLreports.com for info pertinent to your area.
