Dallas Overview

Coming August 29-31, 2003 will be the Cyber X Games Regional Qualifying LAN Party featuring:
• 54 straight hours of competitive gaming
• CS and UT2K3 BYOC and Pro Division Qualifying competition
• America's Army events that will feature cash and prize distribution
• Cyber X Games spec line of gaming computers for use by our Pro Division
• Cash and prizes worth over $8,000
• 4 Day/3 Night Orlando Vacation package drawing
• Reduced entry fees of $30.00 per player
• Round-the-clock play
• Gifts for all participants

Location
The Cyber X Games, Dallas, Regional Qualifying LAN Party will be hosted by the Sheraton Dallas Hotel Brookhollow located just 10 minutes from the DFW Airport. We have arranged for a special room rate of $72.00 per room for up to 4 people, and will provide free transportation to and from the airport. Room must be reserved by August 22, to ensure price and availability.

Cash and Prizes
The cash and prize purse for this event will exceed $8,000.00 and include a computer give-away by Cyber X Gaming sponsors. All Dallas LAN Party participants are automatically registered to win a three-day New Years and Cyber X Games vacation package for four to Orlando.

Competition format will include:
Maximum of 32 Counter Strike Pro Division Teams
400 BYOC slots - maximum entry
64- UT2K3 pro Division Players - maximum entry
8 AA Teams - maximum entry
Round Robin Bracket Play within all games
Double elimination championship rounds for all games

Don't forget Quakecon (http://www.quakecon.org) is coming up as well, August 14 - 17, it is one of the biggest and baddest lan parties around :) Damn do I miss living in Dallas :(

I'm supposed to have broadband, but it acts more like mid band, I pay for 512/128 and get 250/128. I usually only get a low 300 ping. But I still play. Let me know when your gonna play, my IM is onlya377.
