I've got this recurring problem, and well, it's pissing me off to say the least.

Everytime I open Outlook, or Connect my Ipaq 1910, I get a windows installer, and it won't go away. No matter how many times I hit Cancel, it keeps coming back up. And if I let it run, it asks for a CD, Which I don't have, then damn installer starts all over again.

How do I stop that damn thing?!?
I'm this far-----> <--------------from kicking this damn computer

If you've logged in under a new account, that shit will pop up.

long shot... but try launching outlook with the safe switch...

i.e. quick way to do it is go to start -> Run enter "Outlook /safe" (without quotes) although.. that may not let you synch with the pda.. but worth a shot

There is a utility on microsofts website to clear out installs that are in progress like that. I dont know where it is for sure or what it is even called. But I do know it exists.

No, I've used it for about a year now.

I can try that. But I'm not getting the errors with the Outlook startup now. It just doesn't want to sync up with the PDA

I can search for it. I had no idea such a utility existed.
