Alot of it's just practicing man. And I understand the daily driving thing. My LX is my daily driver when it's running, makes for quite the Journy from work and back * No A/C, big cam, stiff clutch ect ect * But running it hard breaks shit, so it's tough to keep it running. I've now got about 50+ passes in this set up, so it shows in the times that I've improved, one thing i definantly realized is that you need to focus on each part of the track when practicing. Make passes that you just care about the 60ft. Get that down. I used to make 2.2s and 2.3s and ran 9.xs to show for it. Then I started cutting just over 1.9s and the times came down.

Your car is nice and clean as hell BossShinoda just because it spins off the line and ran a 14 doesnt mean thats all it is capable of. You can put 500 to the wheels but if you dont put it to the ground its all a waste. I ran a 14 something also I missed a gear and spun my azz off to like a 2.3 60' on street tires. I was just playing around having some fun with my car on a friday night. Im sure alot of folks said damn thats a slow no driving MOFO....:D but I dont give a shit because I know what its capable of. Hey Boss, I did not want to come across as a prick or nothing but just like the others have said, Traction and getting that power to the ground are VERY key.....Practice is also a big difference and learning to launch the car is key as well.

With my current setup I was running 13.55's when I first started racing. With a lot of practice, figuring the launch with air pressure in the ET streets and analyzing each pass and taking notes, I got down to the 13.02 that I now have as a best. considering the only things I have added to the car since it ran 14.2's are the tires and practice I think you can conclude that many more trips to the track are required even if you get the slicks........

Bye the way, you can't be afraid of breaking anything.......those parts are the weak links in the chain and need to be replaced anyway!!!!:D

Hey Bobby actually Saleen takes v-6 mustangs and converts them into what they are. Thats why they all have v-6 badges on them. And actually they change the suspension and a couple other things too. I would love to have a s281x. They have over 400 hp and run 11's stock, with driver mod of course.
