Just got back home.. don't have any numbers really..

Ton of mustangs out there tonight.. On Andrew's grudge pass against Cele3, Andrew's car quit coming out of the burnout box. When I went past it in the pits, it was running, but not right.. Last I saw it was halfway on the trailer.

Lots of mustangs running no-time.

Enjoyable car of the evening for me was a nice white 94-95 or so DSM running mid 7's. F-body's were outnumbered by the mustangs 4-1.. 3 Z-oh's.

We left due to the 1 1/2 hour ride home, and the 5-year old was tired, as was his dad.. Still cars rolling in the gate after 10pm..

bah.... Mustangs outnumbered the F-Bods by maybe 2:1 :p ...

I ran... And ran really crappy. First pass shifted at 6k, since my dyno earlier in the week showed my car making some kind of power up to 6200.. At the top of each gear it sputtered and crap, ran a 8.4@81.. Next pass I shifted at 5600, and ran an 8.1@87mph... Pass after that I shifted at 5800, and clicked off an 8.0@88mph.

My 27" Hoosiers did alright on their first night out, but I could only manage 1.8 60's.

And a big thanks goes out to Marcus for letting me borrow those pils as I'm still trying to get these bugs sorted out! :eek:

My car threw a blower belt which took out the accessory belt, which ended my night. I didn't have another alternator belt.... :(

i had a dissappointing night. my best pass was 8.36 with a 1.89 sixty at almost 84. if i could get some 1.6x sixtys i think i'd see some nice times. oh well.

it was a packed house out there tonight. tons of dfwstangers out there. good to see everyone and look forward to the next grudge.

Nice to see you guys out there. Best I could muster up was an 8.6 with a terrible 1.91 60. That was the only run I made at 12psi tire pressure.

well my night was an over all great night, me and the wife went out tonight hoping to hit some 6's on the motor, my first was 7.06, then backed it up with a 7.07....my wife's (cobrachic) first pass was a 7.5, then her next pass was an awesome 6.83 @101mph...i tried to squeeze the last pass of the night but my timing wasnt having it and had to settle for a 7.1....over all i am very happy with the car as she sits and cant wait to get more time and lower et's...met alot of cool folks out there, for sure gonna have to make it to more of the races...nice to meet you andrew bad break on that belt...i sure was geared up for a great race between you and rob...

Yeah, it was a record turnout for the FnG tonight. There were alot of quick cars there. The track looked and seemed to hook great. It was kindof wierd not being able to see the cars from standing in the pits though. All you could see is the windows and the roof of the cars unless you stood near the finish line.

I was upset that they dropped the deal they had with me on setting the DFWstangs FnG up every month without letting me know ahead of time. I was suppose to get two free entries at each grudge I set up.:confused: It figures the one time I bring someone with me to get in free, they pull this. So, I ended up having to pay for two entries.:mad: I guess in the future I will set it up at other tracks. I'll miss the anouncer though, he cracks me up. "That car just got drug folks!"lmao

2 lazy motor passes-1average n2o pass. I tried to race a silver or pewter (cant remember) camaro w/ cage on my last pass but he wouldn't race.

Didnt really meet anyone. It's hard to race and go socialize when I have my 7 yr old with me. Maby next time it will be his moms wknd.

Andrew, I remember you from when I was working at Lonestar one week. I didn't put your name with face until tonight.

YEA I seen the last one, poor Brian, then I saw ya'll both shagged ass. Looked for 302-a few all night and he was no where to be found. Looked for 2 hours and still did not see him. Goddamn crawfish, rumor has it he got beat by a ls1 and left. I didn't fare so well ran a "7.80" the first pass, then tried the big bitch pill and it went big bitch boom boom boom, nozzle froze over just past the 60 ft, coasted to a 9.6 at 50mph, then third pass my MSD toook a shit 5 feet from the water box, unplugged it and got my ass handed to me by a LS1 that ran 6.7 to my "7.80".

Still no crawish+a few to be seen. What happened KIRK?

Oh yea, me and JS12 decided to race another night since the line was about a 45 min wait, this was at 1:00 a.m.

The air felt kind of thick tonight. My one n2o pass was at least a tenth off what it should of been. Also my 60ft slowed to a 1.40 that is another tenth. That will turn a 5.80 into a 6.00 in a hurry.

all i was getting was 2.1 and 2.2 60fts and 8.80's out of the car on nittos, if i had slicks it would be a different story.

I got there when the gates opened and was right up front by the tech station by sdun (nice car man!). After being there six hours, I left at midnight when the staging lanes got crazy.

1st pass I had too much air in the slicks and spun.

2nd pass I dropped the air in the tires, added some timing, cranked on the boost controller some and came up with my best pass ever at just a red c-hair below 100mph. :eek:

My last run I was set to run some black lightning and just before we went into the water box a white firebird went around the lightning and set up a pro tree without saying a word to me. I think my reaction time was 1.5 or so with no spool up on the turbo and a 2.x something sixty foot time (with slicks) :eek: Whoever you were thanks for fucking up my last pass. Judging by your time of 7.4 at 92mph, fucking with me on the pro tree was the only way you were going to win. Damn LS1 types. :mad:

This new turbo has introduced some more turbo lag and I need a bigger converter to help me spool it up. But damn, did it give me some top end! Pretty fun night.

The improvements at Denton were really nice as well. Met a bunch of people from the board. It was funny as hell, people were coming up to me and saying "Hey, you're Kirk aren't you. I recognize you from David Z28's avatar. Happend 3-4 times.

Edit: I was playing with some black 98+ GT on the way home just after leaving the track. Dude had a video camera rolling as we were running. I'd love to have a copy of that video to see what the new turbo sounds like from the other side

I was in the White Firebird. Let it be known that you got beat fair and square by an LS1 on motor VS your power adder stang. Would you like for me to grant you another race and ill use MY power adder vs yours for a small $$$ race? I never had a close race, and at full weight, half-tank of gas - I was only running 7.6s. Had fun though - saw a bunch of people. Track looked great, but went away pretty fast - well, after midnight anyway..

We need a rematch of 302paf vs. Beenfetched! :D

so whos idea was it to run a protree and why was the other driver not informed?

BTW i never heard anyone coming over and asking to race 302plus a few. we where out there for a long time and the only ones i saw actually getting ready to line up in a grudge where rob and andrew, rob won by default. and then when we left at 1:00 DRS stang and JS12 where getting ready to run.

i really do not think any of yall have the right to be say anyone was crawfishin,

track looked good, but i do not think they prepped very well, i did not see john out there so maybe that had something to do with it, most people where off by a good bit on sixty foot cause the track really did not hooke das well as it has in the past.

psst. track operators, next time we bring a 100plus cars out, i think it would nice to prep a little better.

Let me start out by saying the track absolutly sucked last night, I ran my worst times ever, got beat by gran86 and didn't even know thats who I was racing, On the race w/JS12 I had to ask for some realestate because my car was a turd last night ,gave me the move and I took 6 tenths on the tree and only won by 3tenths. Probably won't go back to Denton for a couple months the track is just way to Green for my car, My 60's were 3 tenths off!:mad:

Yeah, I don't know about that. If I was prepared for a sportsman tree and the tree came down as pro tree you'd probably get out on my by a second and a half......

Shit Shit Shit! That's all my night was. I couldn't get my car to go straight--then the ignition began cutting out--last my electrical problem turned into an under dash fire!

Maybe I should have stayed at home. Hopefully I can actually go fast next time. I hope to be running again in a few days once we rewire the burned spaghetti.

I agree with dragradialstang that the track absolutely sucked ass. My 60' times were off almost 3 tenths. Also had a problem regulating my fuel pressure again which meant no NO2. Really, though, with the track as slick as it was, NO2 would have just smoked the tires.

Turn out was incredible! But, didn't get to make one race with those who I had agreed to run. Andrew was at the line with me when he broke his blower belt. Dragradial and I talked, but never raced. I guess its a draw for now since we both sucked equally. And, I walked the pits twice looking for sdun. I heard the announcer call his name at the line. When I tracked the car down in the pits, I went up and introduced myself to the guy driving the car and he had no idea what the hell I was talking about. It was some yellow coupe with "DJ's Automotive" on the back glass. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet sdun, but it wouldn't have been much of a race anyway.

I know I must have seen a 100 others for this Board. But, I had no way of putting screen names with cars with names. God damn, someone assemble some kind of list or something! Perhaps a simple grid with column #1 being screen name, column #2 being make, year, model and color of car, and column #3 being real name. Who knows most everyone on the Board? Especially the Board members who race? Whose up to the task?

yeah the annoucer last night did say here comes sdun with his yellow coupe...but i know that is "DJ's" from this board cause i have bought and sold a couple of items from him....i talked to brian from lonestar and he was the one who told me sdun was the mystic looking coupe with lonestar stickers on the quater panel windows....

yeah me and the wife take turns making passes, she has as much of love of racing as i do and can drive better so what the hell...i was gonna go introduce myself but there was a flock of ppl around your car and i didnt want to introdude...but next time ill be sure to go say whats up....

Official pulled me up into the waterbox. There were cars staged fixing to leave. The lights were coming down so i started the burnout. THe official came running over behind me and banging on the 1/4 and the glass tryin to get me to stop the burnout as the cars were leaving the line. I was trying to get out the car to look at the panels and he was trying to pin me in the car. I was really hot by this time and made him my bitch ;) He gave me false insurance information. When i called the agent on Monday there was no agent and therefore no insurance company at that number. Im not real happy with that place and would end up locked up if i went back after being lied to. :(

That's a great idea! Either that, or people out for the Fun 'n Grudge just write it small on the back window with shoe polish. Could we get the DFWstangs shirts customized with our names on the back somewhere? Hell, I don't know.

My car is a coupe and it is painted with paint that looks blue/green/purple. I was parked beside Brian from Lonestar about 6 cars from the concession(sp?) stand. We didn't get there until about 9:30.

Andrew, I was in my car and stoped to ask you what happened to yours. You already had it loaded up. I was wearing a blue Lonestar shirt.

Funny I didn't see you parked next to sdun last night. I stopped and talked to him and Brian from lonestar and never seen a red coupe on welds there. As a matter of fact me and stangtamer were looking for you for quite some time and never seen you, even asked lots of people, and only response I got was I havent seen him since he got beat by that ls1.

Last night was great, I got nearly every worthwhile race on camera from 8-2a.m when we left :(, but awesome night, and lotsa fast cars, and the white 2g DSM that is mentioned in the 2nd post, he runs high 10's and if anyone saw at the end of the night he was leaving on a trailor.......DSM's are GREAT CARS!! :p

The humidity sucks it hurts my car bad, good weather my car ran a best of 9.34 stock, and would consistitly run 9.40's but the best i could do last night was a 9.52. and i have open exhaust and one other performance goodie now. left lane sucked right lane wasn't much better, shitty 60ft times anywhere from 2.29 to 2.46 ran a guy in a integra pretty much all night. ran a 99+ black stang with NX express around the licensens plate he ran 9.2 i ran a 9.6 I got sprayed, dont know if it's any one on here's car but id like to run it motor to motor being that im just a crappy lil N/A automatic.
I also ran the maruader that was out there last night if any one has me on vid draggin him, or my car racing the integra id love to see it. Lazer Red on Bullit's BOSS281 on the tag. id like to race some more 4.6 mustangs so just holler at me.

I was only there for the first few hours. Good turnout and got to meet a bunch more board members.

The track looks good and I love being able to see my times while racing so I know whether or not the time slip is worth picking up!

My 60's having been going downhill in a serious way lately. My slicks are toast and I think my rearend is nearly trashed.

I still got a new personal best on motor and a new best mph on bottle though.

I used to pull 1.5x 60's when I had less power. Sucks...time for a new rearend and wider/taller slicks I suppose.

Well all in all I think my car did well. Last time I took it to the track was probably about 40 rwhp ago and it ran best of 8.98 @ 80.1 in mid 50 degree weather and tires in good shape w/2.09 60'. Last night my tires are fairly thin now and in last night heat my best was 8.91 @ 81 mph 2.288 60'. So its running much better even in heat and less traction :D

Fun night good seeing all of you out there that I did.

I had a decent night last night, traction wasnt all that great for me eather, but it is still a new track. My first pass was a waist, it spun out of the hole, and I just gave up half track.

my second pass was better.

8.0@86.5 1.76'.
my 60' was off, but I went 1.5 mph more then I have ever had.

was the best pass of the night. 7.95@87.1 1.71 60'
Great mph, but 60' still wasnt where I wanted.

I made a few more 8.0 passes, and that was about it. I had a fun time, and hope that the track gets lots of rubber layed down in the next few months.

Man, what a bunch of BS!!! It was chicken shit of beenfetchedlately to pull the pro tree on me no matter how you look at it. As far as leaving after I raced him, I told everyone before I raced that that would be my last pass. Hell, we had been roasting in the sun for six hours already. If any of the LS1 types had wanted to race me before then, they had plenty of opportunity. I only made three passes all night and the staging lanes weren't bad at all. I was keeping my car cool and staying near it in case one of these guys came up to ask for a race. Never happened. At least not before midnight. I think they all came to ask for a race after they knew I was gone. I personally think it had something to do with me running "no time" and the LS1 types being at the end of the track where my new turbo probably sounded like a jet engine by then! LOL!

Oh, and, David Z28, you can post all of the chicken BS you want junior (as I’m sure you will) but I and a lot of fast Mustangs were there and you weren't within 50 miles of me or them. As usual you donkey shit little bitch!

Friday night was the first time out with the new turbo and I'm still sorting a few things out. I need a new converter and few other things. When I get the new combo sorted out, I'll race any of you whiney bitches that want some.

I was running my dual stage that night...I taunted him the first race by getting in and out of it. THed second race a i beat him heads up again and stayed in it while he was spraying me..LMFAO. Next time around he asked to run again and i said no i was tired of draggin him...LOL

I also told him to run me at CH and got no answer. Inever said nothing about racing anyone on Friday night. We did however ask him to race a silver Datsun and he straight up said no with no hesitation..LMAO again. Ill login over there soon and stir it up a bit. ;)
