With a decent amount of running. I'll be working until midnight, and then going to our local track and doing 20 laps (Walking/running/dying).

So, let me know if with the Atkins it will be any adverse effects? Usually with football and all, I've never did any diet things, just exercised and all that, i just want to give the atkins a try, since I don't play anymore.

I have talked to a few runners that have run on the Atkins Diet without any adverse effects. Of course these weren't national class runners, but normal mid packers, some local competitive. Once you get to regional competitive, I haven't heard of anyone follow it. Although I did talk to one that followed Sears' Zone Diet which is another lower carb diet that was regionally competitive and swore by it. I need my carbs.

So, as long as you can do your runs, I'd say you shouldn't have any trouble using the Atkins Diet.

Check out this forum and go through the messages. I'm sure there will be a Atkins thread somewhere in there (maybe a page or two back). You'll see *normal* people that run successfully on the Atkins.
