I have a 2 ft long nurse shark I want $150.00 for him. I need the tank he is in for snakes, so he has to go. He is doing great eating peeled raw shrimp from the grocery store. Please only people with 135 gallon tank or bigger. I will have pics later on tonight.

Thank you
Virgil

What the heck do you do with it when it gets bigger? I mean, I am sure you can get bigger tanks, but what about when he gets over 6 feet?

for a bigger tank check the news paper, I was going to keep him for a while, cause I have a 360 gallon tank, but I also have other things that I had to put in their instead, and I have a 135 gallon, but that is what my african cichlids are in and I need room for the snake eggs that I have that will hatch soon so that is why I need his tank, but I still have another tank that is smaller that I can put my sting ray and puffer fish in.

here is him and the sting ray

Dallas North Aquarium and Pet Boutique sell them occasionally, and both of these places are where you could buy a tank at or try the newspaper.

Nice shark, my parents have a 105 gallon, but its a 105 tall. I dont think it would be long enough for him to swim around.
It would be fun though. They have a large lunar wrass that thinks he's king. What would pet boutique give you on a trade in?? Good Luck on Selling.

yeah I had a lunare wrasse one time but my nassau grouper kick his ass, so he went to my reef tank. The shark will only bother things that he can fit in his mouth, like I had a lemon peel angel, a yellow tang, and a porcupine puffer that he has ate. Pet shops will only give what they would pay for it, which is about $40-$50 maybe. If anyone wants any other fish I can get them for a cheaper price than pet shops just let me know, and also corals.

Thanks

Yea, they bought a grouper that ate two big damsels and a tomato clown.
I just bought a bunch of africans. I wish i would have known about your hookup. Do you have any smaller tanks laying around. Maybe a 55 or 75?? Thanks, Greg

I do have a 55 gallon that the brace broke but me and my friend made a canopy for it and it held water fine but he didn't have the time to take care of a salt water tank, so it is sitting in my shed make me an offer if you are interseted. what size of a protien skimmer do you need? if you don't know, then what size is your tank? and I will see what I have. if anyone is interested I do have a sea life sump with bio balls for $50.

anyone interested in fish let me know I go get them on tuesdays.

thanks
Virgil

the piece that broke is the black part that goes across the middle top to keep the glass from bowing out. Just let me know if you want it.

in a 135 gallon tank how big will this thing get? How big of a tank did you keep him in?

70'*Chevelle

I have him in a 120 gallon tank right now, and he will get big around 6 to 8 ft, but if you don' t power feed him, meaning everyday he will not grow that fast. I have had him for about 6 months and i can't really tell that he has grown much I have been told to keep them until they die you need 1,000 gallon tank or bigger. In other words he will be to big for the 135 in about a year, also he is destuctive if you have rocks he will knock them down, so it is better not to have a lot of rocks in there with him and if so do not stack them up. You might as well buy him cause you got to admit it would be cool as hell to have him:D

They both measure 72"X18" at the base just the 150 is a couple of inches taller that's all. So you are good with what you have, besides 15 gallon isn't that much when you think about it. the next size up is a 180 (84"X18") and that will cost about $800 bux at Pet Boutique in Garland. Come on:D go for it:p he will be fine;)

We're looking at AquaC (remora) and the Euroreef (CS8-2) right now new; I know they're worth the price but if I can get a used one of similar quality I won't have a problem with spending less. :)

Katie

edit: I don't mean to hijack your thread either, good luck selling your shark. I suggest advertising it for sale in the for sale or trade forum at Reef Central, it's a nation-wide marine aquarists board (If you didnt already know about it). I'm sure someone would be glad to take it off your hands. http://reefcentral.com
