if it were me i wouldn't go with a body lift at all but, a 3" will not cause your truck to overheat.
it will cause your truck to over heat if you do not install it properly and not put the fan shroud back on. the kit comes with spacers for this so you would not have any problems.

Well, A three in my experience will make the truck overheat when towing.. even with the fan shroud spacer..... When I switched to a 2" I never even put the bottom half of my shroud back on and my truck never overheated... Even towing my Jeep to Utah and back during the middle of the summer...... With the three it would over heat just pulling my jetskis around or when I was stuck in traffic.....
Just my .02

something had to be wrong. i have a 3 inch body lift on my truck without the lower fan shroud and don't have any problems.
i have seen people that try not to put the shroud back on but end up having to.
i have NEVER seen nor heard of anyone other than you to have a problem like this.
glad you got it fixed though.:D

you think you could get me a price on a 5'' skyjacker lift for a 01 dodge 1500? I want the system with new leaf springs not the one with rear AAL and blocks. let me know, thanks

the one with the new leafs will ride alittle stiffer but won't sag. is that what you want?
it will take me a few days becasue i still haven't heard from my wholesaler but should know something tonight. i'll ask him then.
