View Full Version : Day 7: Dear God, wtf am I still on this diet?

Well, today is day 7. This makes the longest time I've ever done Atkins/Ketosis in a stretch ever if I can get past today.

Damn I've seen some chocolate cakes that I just wanted to lick the sweet, sweet frosting off.

I saw that new Baskin Robins commercial, with the blue icing topped icecream. I swear, I could SMELL, and TASTE it like I was actually eating it. The somewhat crisp bite into the hardened sugary coating on that cold, sweet, icecream. The taste of blue birthday cake icing.... oh man.

Can someone tell me WTF Im still doing on this Sugar Forsaken diet? Sure, Im still in ketosis, but damn I want some sugar.
Im also still at 233. I know I havent been drinking enough water, and like 5 cans of diet soda / day. closer to 30 grams of carbs too, instead of 20.

Wonder if I can make it 2 weeks....

Go over to Alberson's and get you some of those Blue Bunny no sugar added ice cream bars. 90 calories and taste just like the regular shit! Its carbs but FUCK....how much? 6.5 grams?

Whipped cream baby!! every time i get that swee craving.. a few gulps of whipped cream and its alllll goood.

10 grams. I gotta box of em already. ;P But I have to be careful to eat just 1 a day with the normal intake Im getting carb wise.

oh well. Today is day 7 and still kicking. Honestly, its gotten easier. And now that Im seeing results, it makes it more easier to stay on it.

I did chest / shoulders / tri's today. Had enough energy for a beginning workout. Tomorrow is Back / Bi's / Traps. Fri is Legs day. Lets see how I do after all that.

Another thing I've found that I like, is going to Wendy's and get 3 Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers. Take them all out of the wrapper. Take 2 peices of the lettuce that comes in the burgers, and use those as "buns", with the 3 peices of beef,cheese,and bacon as the middle. Makes a neater, cleaner way of eating those 3 burgers on the run without bread.

Man, I hope this diet works for you, you are definetly going through the pains to make it happen!

I'll think of you as I'm downing the quart of Hagen Das Rasberry Sorbet tonight (800 calories, 90% carb).

Jesus, 3 burgers? I only eat two of them when I am on the Atkins...

BTW, I went to the Men's Club for the Wednesday Lunch buffet, I had:

9 coconut deep fried shrimp (I usually don't eat fried shit but damn those are good!)
Grilled chicken
2 chicken fajitas with the pico, cheese, sour cream, etc...
Some roasted potatos
Grilled veggies
A big ass piece of carrot cake

Its ok. This morning, I did the piss strip and the reading seemed to be around 2 ketones / whatever.

I was like "Woohoo!". Ate 2 bowls of cereal. Went to go see T3. Ate half a small bag of popcorn and a super duper large Pibb Extra.

Tonite, its fucking on! A 6 pack of Shiner Bock for sure. And whatever sweets I want to throw down on tonite. Tomorrow, I'll be a bit more gentler, then Sat - Im sticking to a reasonable diet eating 6 times a day. I am down to 232 pounds and expect to be able to maintain in the 234 area. I may come back to atkins in a week or 2. Who knows. The last time I lost 10 pounds was from eating 6 times a day religiously and keeping a fairly nutritious balanced diet with light to no cardio.

Either way, Im wearing jeans I havent worn in over 2 years now, so Im happy and can at least maintain that.

actually....

You can get whip cream, and mix in some hersheys powdered chocoalte..unsweetened.

Tastes like chocolate mousse a bit.
No carbs in the powder.
