Well I wanted to share what I've been through in the last few months, and what's worked for me.
A little over two months ago I got back in the gym and got serious about making some lifestyle changes. I'm 5'7" and started at 132lbs as of 4/24. I soon realized I could eat all day and not get all the calories I need to make the goals I had set. I had a good friend who is part owner at a GNC turn me on to their 2200 calorie weight gainer.
After a two weeks of using that crap I found it to be adding weight to the places that didn't need it, so I stopped taking it and worked out a better diet plan. The new diet has me eating six meals a day, which is hard to get use to but has been working great for me.
After a few days of eating so much I found myself getting sluggish and tired feeling, so I bought a small bottle of Twin Labs Ripped Fuel. The first days of taking it I was bouncing off the walls (for real) but that wore off after about a week. I go tan a few times a week and for some reason I started getting burned. I found that Ripped Fuel has St. Johns Wart and it can cause problems such as this.
I started taking Hydroxcut for the effects it has on metabolism, I take it after meals to avoid it affecting my appitite. The hardest part for me has been planning all my meals and being prepared. Once again I found I was still having a hard time with my calorie intake, I searched the net and talked to everyone I could about the best supplement for my needs.
Most everyone I talked to said to try CytoSport Muscle Milk, so I did. This stuff tastes good, I was shocked. I have been using it pre/post workout along with a multi-vitamin and flax seed oil for a month and a half.
Well I decided to see if I had been making any real progress, so I got on the scales this morning and tipped them to 164lbs.
A gain of 32lbs in just over 2 months, I'm shocked and amazed. I have never in my life been able to put on weight. I'm stoked, I turn 29 in a few days and I'm in the best shape of my life. I've managed to lose 2" off my waist.
Sorry I rambled so long, I'm just happy to see all the time I've been investing paying off.
