This is only when the car is on not off, so I guess a ground may be loose. It'd be nice to know before going off on a wild goose chase ;)

Some times your MSD box can make ALOT of raido noise if you dont have it hooked up right.

It appears in order, both the 6AL and the 8975 retard box. Should I just check the wiring or...?

If all the wires are right on your boom and msd,
another possibility is that you have your rca's run too close to power or ground wire.
The way you can tell is if you have sub noise but the speakers that are hooked directally up to the raido.........
I always run the power wire on the same side of the battery and rca on the opposite with no more than 2 feet of ground cable..
Check for frays in the wires....

My RCA's are 3' long. The preouts are now in the trunk b/c of the DSP. Ummm, think I should hold the RCA's up from the ground wires?

The RCA's cannot be within 24'' from either the ground or power wires......Also you should have a wire similar in size to you turn on lead running from the ground on the amp to the ground that the receiver is using that way you have a parallel ground at that helps reduce interference, also what kind of ground and power wire are you using because I have had probelms with interference when I used a crappy brand of wire. Plus your radio could be the piece of equipment that is picking up the interference. Let me if you have any more questions.

Also forgot to mention that your RCA cables could have a pinch in the insulation and that causes them to pick up pink noise (interference).

i once had that problem but i fixed it... by buying a new amp. The amp just was gettin outta shape. It could also be that you dont have a solid ground, or what all those other peeps said. ;-)

it really sounds like an ignition feed back noise.
They have filters but it wont help if its comming from your msd.

I also hear a bit of alternator whine too...
Think I should try a filter?
