Sony Xplod stuff

I"ve heard some good and bad. Looking fo something relativly inexpensive, but I don't want to pay for crap. Not really looking into blowing my eardrums out. Would just like some good sound.
What I am looking for is head unit, 2 10" subs crossover and an amp to control just the subs.
Any help is appreciated.

Sony makes good stuff. I personally have a Kenwood head Unit, Infinity Reference Speakers. 300watt Jensen AMP 2-channel and a 10" pioneer sub. (my 10" Rockford Fosgate Punch blew)

sony does NOT make good stuff, IMO.

get a couple JL w0's. they sound very good for the money, fosgate HE's, also, etc.

sony makes crap. I wont buy any sony car audio product. I have heard way too many bad things about them.

u want two cheap tens? infinity reference series hit pretty good, the lower end alpine subs sound good if u get a good box for them. Mtx 6000 series subs arent bad.

As for amps, go to crutchfield.com and look around, they usually have some good deals. but dont even bother looking at peak power, it doesnt mean a damn thing. Only look at RMS power, on the amps and subs.

Thanks for the replys. Just want somethng better than my current system. 2 1/2 tweets(pioneer) 6X9's (Sony xplod 4 way) and cheesy head unit. Like I said, nothing expensive. I am not looking for trunk rattling crap, Just something that's louder than my 4 turbo 3" exhaust :D.

to be honest the alpine subs hit pretty hard and you can find them for cheap at circuit city or in crutchfield. They dont require a lot of power and dont sound like crap.

Okay ya I wouldn't buy their speakers or subs. But their head units are pretty nice. Sony also makes the best marine speakers in my oppinion.

I run Infinity Reference, sound great with an amp and aren't very expensive :)

yea i bet the infinity subs are good, i know they make quality stuff or at least decent for the price.

and i wouldnt buy any type of sony car audio, head unit, speakers, subs, amps. nothing. I think sony is crap. they have some good products, im just pretty sure car audio isnt their thing.

if you want a good head unit buy eclipse or alpine

Ive never had any problems with any sony products I have ever bought...........
but remember, if you buy a 99 dolla mp3 player......
thats just what youll get, regardless if its from alpine or sony.

I have never had a problem with sony's either. Hell I've got a sony in my boat that I got for free b/c it was soaked in water at the dealership I worked at. Damn thing won't quit!!
